Invitation to A Private K session (31/8/2018 Friday , 7pm to 11pm)

Hi friends,

Tentatively I’ve  booked the below venue for max 15 pax (min 10pax)  for our private k session. Pls. respond by dateline 10/8/201(Friday). If the respond is less than 10pax. . I may hv to cancel it.

Drinks are provided . There will be a KJ to assist you . K vcds and thumbdrive can be use for this session. There will be various song books for reference too. I’m a regular here and i love the evergreen oldies songs and the sound system is good. Do respond ASAP if you are  keen and your commitment to this event is needed. Your attention and co-operation is much appreciated. I’m looking forward to the session to sing with all.

Santa Claus is coming to town ….

A bad role model for children, promoted obesity, drunk-driving, speeding and an unhealthy lifestyle?? …therefore instead of gorging minced pies/brandy and idling in his sleigh, Santa should go on a diet and swap his reindeer for walking, jogging or cycling to deliver his presents hahaha (may be the new year resolution for Santa !).. Do share ur humorous lines and the perfect image of Santa to be then…. A Blessed and Merry X’mas to ALL too ** Oops : If Santa sneezes or coughs around 10 times a day, all the children who sit on his lap may end up with H1N1 flu as well as their Christmas presents" emoticon

A visitation to “MV Doulos”

 Hi friends,

 Have u visited MV Doulos, the worlds’ oldest ocean-going passenger ship with the hull built

 in 1914, just 2 years after the titanic yet? It will be making the end of a historic 95-yr journey

 around the world.  It’s in Singapore now.

 It will be open to the public (free admission) for the last time at VivoCity, Harbourfront from 15th to

 26th December 2009.

 I will be making a trip there and may join the 45min eye-opening guided tour of Doulos as well 

 You are welcome to join me.

Electronic Technology Awareness …

This gives us something to think about with all our new electronic
technology  –  GPS
A
couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their
car broken into while they were at a football match. Their car was
parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans.
 
Things
stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money
and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.

When
the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked
and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.  The thieves
had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage
remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house. The
thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time
the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they
had to clean up the house. It would appear that they had brought a
truck to empty the house of its contents.

Sing-along session (Sun, 24 June 2007). Changi Beach Club “Beach Lodge”

"Music moves the world …… the psychological properties of music like sound, vibrations and rythmn activate the body, mind and emotions…. it aids in the healing process too…. singing is fun, singing makes you feel younger and more free …."    

The polling day for the songs is closed. Now…. we are counting down the days to our sing-along session. Date :  24/06/07   Time : 1500 – 1900 hrs.  Thank you for your enthusiam  shown and support to this event. It is an opportunity for us to relive the good old days! Karaoke Session

Calling all SHC songbirds,

We the  "Girl Band Of SHC" are organising a karaoke session at the Orchid Country Club (Aranda Lounge) at Yishun next SUNDAY 10/12/06. It will be operated on an open concept style.  A DJ will help to key in our selection of songs. The operation hours will be from 3pm – 12 midnight. Drinks are chargeable at bar price.  A  free shuttle service is provided by the OCC from Yishun MRT to OCC. We too can proceed for a game or two (bowling sessions) thereafter, as it is within the premises. Pls. let me have your confirmation by 7/12/06. Kindly email me at : chirpy1961@yahoo.com.
