  6. Hello Dan,

You are in your funny behaviour again. You are very literate, but I think you have forgotten how to count. There are four workshops (1), (2), (3) & (4). If you sign up for ALL THE CLASSES, then you have to pay $7 x 4 = $28. That’s a bargain! Heehee..

  7. Hi All

We decided 2 open up workshop #2 for all as well. The whole idea is 2 provide a platform 4 our members, especially those who hd heard but not done a true hands on xperience.

We oso hope 2 train up some of our members 2 continue these wkshop in e future.

  9. Hi Yew Kwong, Chong Wah and able assistants,

Thanks for arranging this and for offering to share with the rest of us your knowledge.

$28 is what some people pay for a meal or a coupla drinks on a night out with butties. So, it is a steal to feed one’s brain to acquire some knowledge. Besides, it comes with good fellowship and it’s gonna be fun learning together.

Till the course, I will have to later look for an ATM at the block across the street to transfer the money over.

  10. Oops, Kwong Wah, please accept my humble apologies for combining and shortening your surname and second name into Chong. Brain and fingers running too fast…

But interesting, Yew KWONG, KWONG Wah…so the first able assistant is a WAH something?

    Let’s guess…hmmm, WAH P**ng…hee…

  11. Dear Yew Kwong,

Hi Joy, it’s ok about the name. A name is only to represent oneself. As long as I am I, whatever the name, it is immaterial.

To LH Jie, we can conduct more other workshops on the weekdays or evening, but do we have the no of participants? HCC requires at least 10 pax for us start a class.

  16. Hi Kwong Wah

If you are worried about insufficient participants, consider opening the class to non SHC members. Eg Three days before registration closes, open the class to friends of SHC members.

  18. Hi Yew Kwong & Kwong way,

Thank you for volunteering your time and energy to try and educate us, the Silverhaired IT illiterates. We appreciate it very much.
I suppose the organisation of classes is not easy either. I guess you can only cater to some of the people some of the time …..and not all the people all the time.
So I guess the best would be, you volunteer and post the time of classes to your convenience. I personally will be very interested in afternoon/evening lessons. Hopefully, if you give enough time…..the response will be good.

    Once again, in appreciation………..Jie

  19. Hi Yew Kwongx2 Wah,

Phew! Seats all taken up. I am glad I made it to the class.

Braved the heavy rain, carrying my pink, teddy bear motif, UV, made in Japan umbrella, to the block across the road and transferred Singapore dollars twenty eight and cents zero only at 16:03 from my DBS Savings Plus account to the POSB Savings Account given above. Receipt with reference number 8027 now safely kept in my wallet.

Look forward to attending the SH IT workshops. Wah, luckily got space between the letters…hee…

  20. Hi Yew Kwong,

  29. Hi everybody,

Yesterday, Sat Jan 5, 2008, I went to Henderson Community Centre to visit Yew Kwong’s IT class. I was really happy to see a dozen members eagerly learning how to sell online on Mocca.com. And, I was equally happy to see Ronald Lee, Christina Chan and Kwong Wah dedicated to providing IT assistance during the late morning session.

For those who were not able to attend, I like to tell you that the students really enjoyed the hands-on training. And, talking about success, Joyce reeived a live response from a buyer a few hours, after she put up an advertisement to sell her old $20 note.

Thanks YK and team, it’s was a great activity.

    Terence Seah

  30. Thanks Yew Kwong; Kwong Wah; Edward; Ronald & Christina’s times & effort. You guided us step by step patiently though some of us did not follow your instruction close enough.

Luckily i signed up in time for this lesson and what a pleasant surprise… a trial advertisement did turn out to be real deal!

    You guys are wonderful, cheersss

    Joyce
