IT Skills for Seniors (12 sessions)

This 12-sessions IT Skills Package for the 50plus provides the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge on the basic use of the computer, the Internet as well as other life-style related info-communication skills.

The course covers the following topics:
1) Basic computer and the Internet
2) E-Communication, emails and Skype
3) E-Entertainment
4) Facebook and Social Networking including tips on keeping your information safe and private

Prerequisite: Participants need to bring their own Wi-Fi enabled laptop/tablet PC for the course.

Dates (12, two-hourly, weekly, Thursday Sessions): Starting 03-04-2014 and ending 26-06-2014.
Time: 6.30PM to 8.30PM
Venue: Bukit Merah Public Library (Level 3)
Course fee: $24 for the 12 sessions.
(Nearest MRT – Tiong Bahru. Exit MRT, turn RIGHT, up escalator, take bus number 5, 16 or 851 to end, Bukit Merah Bus Interchange, then a 5-minutes walk to library.
If you drive and uses the GPS, the Postal Code of the destination is 159462)

Registration is through NLB web site via http://golibrary.nlb.gov.sg OR go to any library
e-kiosk to register with your EZ-link or NETS card.

  1. Hi Patricia, you have to register through the library web site, as stated in the post, yourself. The 12-sessions course cost $24.
    Follow these steps to register:
    1) go to NLB web site golibrary.nlb.gov.sg
    2) check the word “venue” and select “Bukit Merah Library” (at right hand side)
    3) scroll down a little and find the course title “InfoComm Skills Package for the 50plus” and click the “shopping trolley” to register.
    4) Click the “Check Out” box and the registration form will come out.
    5) make sure you “check” VISA and not Online Banking before you proceed to the next page on payment details.
