Post of Pictures Manager for SHC Forum

Hi everybody,

The post of Picture Manager is currently vacant and in urgent need of someone with knowledge of uploading photos onto the website. The role would require the Pictures Manager to receive digital photographs from approved Event Organisers, layout the pictures as per current format, auto correct for brightness and finally uploading the photographs to the SHC website.

The Pictures Manager has the right to delete and decide if the photographs are suitable material.  No editing task will be required in this role.  To enable photographs to be published, the rules of SHC will apply.

For continuity, and if you feel you have what it takes to be a Picture Manager, do come forward to offer your services.

  1. I like to thank Oi Cheng who has agreed to take on the role of Pictures Manager, for the SHC forum. Oi Cheng moves from her current role of New Members administrator, on the SHC forum.

    The new role starts 1st Aug 2008; and shall end in Dec 2009. Thanks Oi Cheng.

    Generally, as long as the events are not related to politcs, sex, religion, race, direct selling selling or MLM, the pictures would be published. No question is silly. So far, we published every event pictures submitted.

    Great to have as the pictures manager. I am sure you will perform as god as Terence doe.

    I will in future sent you the pictures via a link to the Yahoo Photos where I will upload the photos.

    This will make me non-dependent on emails.

    Is a wonderful idea, at least give you some leeway in your tight work schedule.

    Oi Cheng, congratulation on your appointment, definitely with your efficient way of doing thing, we will see a better outcome. Must encourage more pictures of surrounding scenes than just the faces of SHCians in most events.

    I too would like to congratulate you on yr new post.

    I AGREED with Ron Koh that BRIEF CAPTIONS be added to faces,places etc…

    And I STRONGLY BELIEVE that you will do a GOOD job.

  10. Ron Koh@5 – I certainly agree to your suggestion but I would need the help of the photographer to give me the names as I do not know all the SHC members.

    King Seng@6 – Slow down leh, this is very new to me hor. I have yet to undergo training before I embark on this new duty.

    Tim@8 – Still teasing Terence har? I read somewhere in the forum that you will be starting work soon and before that, spending as much time as you can with your princess. Want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your new job.

    I think a lot of us won’t be able to associate names with faces of most of our fellow SHCians even after meeting them a few times – even photographers. :o)

    You could put the photos up first, invite other SHCians to view and provide the names and numbers of the photos where the SHCians appear via comments, emails, etc and insert the captions as and when you have the information.

  12. Oi Cheng is currently practising the use of the SHC photo album software. I know many of you are excited to have her start as our Pictures Manager, knowing how inefficient I have been. Well, she starts 1 Aug 2008. Please be patient, till then.
