  1. Hi RonW,
Sounds like a lot of fun, especially if we can have a campfire, if its allowed. Will EX BOY SCOUTS or those with NS TRAINING HELP OUT????
We, Grace Wong and I would like to reserve a room for 2 for overnight stay, and 2 seats for the mahjong…subject to costs which I believe will be finalised closer to the date.
It will be a great help as we don’t have to rush home, seeing that we live at the other side of the island and dependent on public transport.
    Tks & rgds……….Jie

  2. Jie, room and mahjong reservation noted. Rooms bidding (as stated so I myself will have to bid for it too) starts at $25 per person only and will include overnight mahjong.

Lydia, about performances it is open to all SHC members who want to perform anything dance or songs. For singing with the band, a jam session will be arranged to work out the music arrangements etc, with enthusiastic singers.
Maybe all the NDP dances to do a performance too , BBcat, Evelyn, Doreen, Joyce, Susan Tan and James, and Michelle , can, in full custume??

  3. Hi all,

The Mid-Autumn festival will be a 2 days and 2 nights event, starting from : The emphasis is to feel free and easy, have a quiet holiday with a small quiet group of people doing what you all like, be it dancing, mahhong talking or scrabble, swimming, kayaking or golf, etc.

Think of having a good time in a quiet, cosy Changi resort where the number of people around is not too many to be noisy, like Phuket Banyan Tree. ( Who knows the next one may be just right there on Phi Phi Island or Jondalup Resort for a small group, some enjoying the comfort of the resort while others enjoying the outdoors camping, potluck etc. )

Friday 12th Sept Pm Golf : 2 Flights of golfers, already 6 golfers confirmed for the first SHC golf event. Janet, Sh, Vivien, Me, Andrew, Food,(Calling John, Tian Soo, Molly ,Betsy)?? but only 2 place left so hurry.

Friday Evening – Love of Country Music and Line Dance (refresher and dances from D n D 2007 ) – so come early, limited to 25 people indoors, Already about 15 people already signed up, Hamidah our dance instructor and one other new member will be there to instruct and revise all the popular request dances. So hurry, else you have to dance at the swimming pool.

Sat: Morning : Kayaking and boating by Resort’s Sea sports centre : Those who are keen reserved your seats

Sat Pm: Hair cutting demo and lesson by SHC’s own oversea trained hairstylist. All seats taken up by 25 people

Sat Eve : Pot Luck & Lantern festival open beach area outside free for all, bring your pot & lantern ( Jie if everyone one bring their own lantern be it foldable or simple a candle with a cover it will be good enough).

I presume most of the 25 people coming for the class will be staying for the Pot Luck, as they can keep their pots(food) in the fridge and have it reheated for the evening.

Hope that the cycing and walking EOs can try to combine all their activities on the same day at the same place. So that more can join the outdoor Pot Luck and Lantern festival campfire.

However those who prefer DAncing Cha, cha, Rock and roll, watltz , disco, country line dancetoo can do so in the Bungalow. Limited to 25 people .

Camping: Terence and Companny overnight SAt and his orgy? ( not sure about Friday night maybe too)

REsort Stay : 2 Air con rooms available
Friday : 2 rooms available and Majong tables available
2 mahjong tables still open: Janet Loo, Michele , Cat,

Sat : 1 room taken up by Jie & Grace ( confirmed no bidding la at $25 each, inclusive of Sat dance, and majhong)
    So 1 room left,

    Mahjong : 6 seats left,
1st table by Jie & Grace

The Bungalow will also be opened to all who want to drop by for a chat at any time, but classes will be reserved to those who already signed up on a first come first serve basis. Max to 25 people.

Karen Thio will be displaying some of her crafts during the 2 days so all are welcome to view them. Also if anyone wants to show any of their travel photo albums in the bungalow for others to view can do so.

Am interested in joining U guys on Sat nite after 7.30pm. Maybe dancing or chit-chat or sing a along session.

  5. Hi Cat,

Can do, but do let me know early once you cannot make it.

Will need to talk to you one day about Perth, and having such a free and easy, holiday, camp or hotel stay for a small group to do different things.

Wonder Mary can accept such arrangements to house some while others camp outside her house.

Also the group may want to go trekking, cycling, fishing or play golf, while other may just want to shop and take photos, etc. Cheers

My sister (aged 59) who resides in Yorkshire, England will be in Singapore during that time. I would like to give her a chance to experience what SHC is all about. Can I book a room for her and I, and does she have to be a member to enjoy the activities planned for the weekend? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

    Cheers!
    Angela.

  9. Hi RonaldW,

I am planning to spend the day at the bungalow on Saturday and then look for a comfortable grass patch to pitch my tent. But, it looks like I am going to gaze the romantic full moon alone, and then spend the night there without an orgy. Maybe I shall put up a few paper lanterns, to raise my spirits. I will be there.

    Terence Seah

  10. Hi Susan,

If you follow Terence and camp outside it will be free. Air con room per night per pax twin sharing will be $25.

  19. Hi Ron!

Do U realise there’s a bit of confusion here. At 1st U started on this post 13 Sep, mid Autumn Festival Pot-luck @ NSRCC Changi on 20/7/08 and then later change it to Mid-Autumn Gang Bang @ NSRCC on 3/8/08.

abel tan#20 revert back to the first one, followed by Maureen L & you on the 1st post & I also replied on the 1st one.
    No wonder, you didn’t reply.
Anyway, I found the map on the 2nd post.
    Thank You.

  20. Hi Cat,

I don’t but I guess others will, as I did mentioned there will be the Pot Luck event outside by the beach and dancing, karaoke, mah jong, etc in the bungalow. So yes guess it will be like the pasar malam, what more with Terence, Douglas, Agnes and others camping by the beach too.

So welcome Cat, and everyone who feel like just meeting us all to chat, play scrabble , dance sing a song etc. Good too that you have found the map, else will post it when the date gets nearer. Cheers.
