I may be a little demented…and many of us may be in some way…
Before anyone gets flustered or flummoxed, I better get to my point.

First, you are advocating trading or should I say, speculating on stocks: I’m glad you’ve identified it as “akin to gambling”. I believe we could put some play money just like in mahjong into this … But I just wanted to sound a word of caution here…
There are many internet investment gurus who all claim to have found the holy grail…and the “quick, sure way to make a million”!

Second, investing should not be a game, especially with our retirement savings or funds. Too many retirees get caught up with the promise of quick riches and commit large amounts in the hope to make up for the “lost” years where their investments were depleted by market crashes or black swan events, or worse, by scams like gold and foreign property investing.

Third, (I’ve forgotten what great point I was going to make)… but, the November 1st date given does require me to travel back in time to attend the free seminar; maybe it’s my dementia…or is it some higher power telling me that I should give this talk a miss?

  2. Kenneth: well said. In the Internet cyber world, what you want to know is more important than what they, in the cyber world, want you to know.

A good advice, if I may, is not to believe 100% what is claimed in the Internet. This is because, in the Internet, we have the good, the bad, the ugly and the crazy ones using it. My next topic of talk in Bukit Merah library on 12/12 is on Internet Security and how to verify how true claims made in the Internet. One bogus claim, exposed by iDA, will also be discussed. I was told more that 25,000 had parted some of their money to this claim.

you have problem understanding my writing
I did not said I akin trading to gambling, I said many who do not understand the proper of trading akin it to gambling
Trading has to be done with right education
And I am advocating any who are interested to take up trading as a income to learn from this trainer, Bill

  4. Hi Christina

I didn’t miss your message… I was more tongue-in-cheek and took some liberty with my post… Sorry to have come across this way.

Yes, trading can be a profitable venture…but it is not easy; my brother-in-law had just signed for a trading course which uses several indicators and chart patterns to identify opportunities for trade setups. He said he paid over a thousand dollars, but I think it’s cheap compared to many which charge $4,000 or more.

Sometimes I suspect that the presenter earns more from his course fees than he does trading!

Haha, all that aside, I shall venture to hear what Bill sgx swiinger has to say…but later when I get back from my Phuket weekend!
