  1. Thanks Roy and Lilian for the good wishes for the Lunar New Year. I, too wish you both good health, happiness and good fortune for the New Year.

Today is the first day of the Lunar Niu Year. I am glad to be up and kicking. A new day of a new year.

I would like to wish fellow SHCians, a Happy Lunar New Year. May you all enjoy a healthy, happy and succesful new year.

I wish Kristy a hassle-free operation and speedy recovery after that, which I know will be so because with Robert taking good care of you, everything will be alright.

I wish Ah Nee’s father a speedy recovery too.

Last evening, I had my reunion dinner with my second daughter, her boyfriend and Sen, my domestic help. We had steamboat. It was a nice catching up time with my daughter.

My eldest daughter, her husband and my youngest daughter had their reunion dinner up in the mountains in Hakuba. I was supposed to be there with them but with -8 deg temp, I changed my mind. They also had some friends visiting so they had a bigger party. My eldest did the cooking with my youngest helping out.

After dinner, I went to Chinatown to soak in the CNY atmosphere. Boy was it crowded. It was so trying getting from one end of the street to the other. Sen said that its crowded like that in Manila markets and its a daily affair. Ok I will stop complaining. But its been more than 5 years since I stepped into Chinatown during CNY’s eve.

I had a good time, looking at the stuff, jostling with the crowd for the best view of stuff on sale and a good bowl of Ah Boh Ling with sesame paste filling. Yum!

Was so tired after that that I slept like a baby.

Once again, a Happy New Year to All :)

    Warmest Regards
    Caroline Gee
