Coffee chat on Wed, 3rd August 2016

Dear friends

Quite a few members have enquired about my next coffee chat. It’s so heartening.  Hence, I’ve decided to put up this posting early to keep our kopi kakis informed.  Details of the next chat are as follows:

Date:                               Wed, 3.8.16

Time:                              2.15 – 4.15 pm

Venue:                            Same viz:  Raffles City food court, 3rd Level

Cuisine:                            A wide variety of food, drinks, desserts are available

Topics for chat:               Anything under the sun except the shc taboos viz: sex, politics, religion, mlm

Do come and join in an afternoon of chit-chatting, joking, exchanging views over a cuppa.  We have so much fun and laughter during all our kopi meets.  Socialising and meeting old as well as new friends are enjoyable and drive away depression and  dementia.

  2. The coffee chat is a platform for making new friends, catching up with old ones and just enjoy an afternoon together. Socialisation is essential at this stage of our lives to prevent depression and keep dementia at bay! :-)

    It’s nice when people tell you they are coming and note in their calendar.. Rather than ppl telling you they’ll come if there’s nothing better to do. :-)

      I get your drift when people put up a non-committal attitude . They adopted an ambivalent posture.
      Hey when I booked a place for an event I was committed to a cost to be shared among the participants

    Nice hearing your take. True, any EO will get cheesed off with such ppl especially when it involves costs in booking a place. This may be the reason why Terence has difficulty getting members to organise events for members. It is a thankless job. LOL

    I’ve seen yr message on this forum page via email, although it has not appeared here. Included your Wife and you for the coffee chat as requested.

    Re yr query on my Japan trip. It was a very good one .. Went Hokkaido to see the lavenders .. July’s the season. Altho the weather was expected to be v hot,it was indeed a false alarm. Weather was cool and chilly ~ hovering around 20- 22 deg C.

    Lovely Hokkaido with its flowers esp fields of purple lavenders :-)

    Enjoyed myself v much.. A good trip indeed.
