Microsoft Movie Maker (in short MMM or $$$) is a program which comes free wif Windows XP & Vista. It enables U 2 compile all your photo n video clips wif added on music, text n effects n run like a movie. When completes sit back relax n munch your snacks while watching the “movee”.

  5. Yew Kwong.
I have a lot of mini video tapes from an old Sony Video Camera that I want to convert to DVDs. I want to do them myself. How to go about do it or learning how to do it? Hope you can enlighten me.
    Thanks and cheers,
    Mary

  6. With Maggie Teo joining in, the MM workshop on the 7/3 is now closed.(7 from SHC and 5 from YWCA).
if there are other interested party we may start another section on the 14th or 21st next month.

  7. Good morning Yew Kwong,

Thanks for the infos on MMM. Is it the same method that Sunny did it for my New Zealand trip CD? When I viewed, the photos appeared like power point slides show with music? Think I better learn how to do it, easy to do or not?

    Ah Nee

  8. Hi Ah Nee

That s/w, a licenced n purchased one which Sunny used hs similarity 2 MMM but more features n powerful. MMM is free n after one session of learning, m sure u are able 2 make your own movee.

As 7th Mar’s session is full, perhaps you can join 14th Mar 2gether wif Eyvonne.

    Hi Eyvonne

We will start a new class on 14th Mar.

  9. Yew Kwong.
    Thanks for the link.
Btw, do you know anyone who can convert them for me? Please recommend. What about you? I will pay you, if you can quote me a good price?

  10. Hi YK,
Sorry to used your tread to enquired if there is anybody who still have a Sony VCR.(video cassette player) Needed badly to read and convert a Sony vhs tape to dvd. Can someybody help?.

    Hi Mary,
You have Sony mini dv, do you have Sony VCR that I can borrow?

    Tks

  11. Hi Paul

Maybe quite difficult 2 get one. If no choice then u look 4 a cassette converter 2 load your sony tapes into normal VCR.

If Mary has, then all your headches will be saved.

  12. Hi Paul,

I have one Sony tape recorder/player but it is in NTSC format only (meant for USA TV) so not sure it can be of any help.

What format was your recording in? local PAL? , if so then it will not help. Unless your show was in NTSC on a multi-system then you can play back on my player.

    Cheers

  13. Hi YK,
Tks for the thought. Presently only one tape but important, therefore will have to convert to DVD. Hopefully somebody can help me solve this headache.

    Hi Ronald,
I think it is in PAL format. Nevertheless, willing to try.
    Tks.

    Paul

  14. I am wondering the expert here would respond or resolve this observation of mine, if it is possible to redesign the mechanism of the forum postings.
As more people put up posts, there seems to be alot to scroll down to, to search for a specific old post and to write a note.
I remember somewhere else where whenever someone writes a note to a post, the post gets automatically brought up the the top of the forum, and those without any followup will be left towards the end.

  15. Hi Yew Kwong,

Please wait list me for either class.

Missed the boat! Think Karen is going to scold me ‘cause she did send me a e-mail about this class… ;-)

To Jane Tan, Agnes Seow, Janet Heng, Ann Lim and Shirley Wee

Our apologies. YWCA has informed today that their Centre will be closed as they need to mobilise all available manpower to hold their flag day.

We are sorry to disappoint you n postpone your class to another date (date to be announced).

  23. Hi Lawrence

Can’t be sure of the date at this moment until YWCA informs us.

Anyway info will be posted on SHC webpage once we get hold of it.
