  1. hi Joan..
You go and ‘goyang2’ Jie lah…she showed you some of her collections rite?..so she can be teacher..
I also want to learn again..

    Jie…boleh not? :)

Btw…anybody know embroidery?..thot the baba girls might know somebody?..perhaps Teochew ah nia also know?..hehe

  2. Nor Sayang,

I do know Embroidery, which is an interesting but time-consuming hobby, often seen as nostalgic decorative pieces with intricate designs & coloured patterns to infuse beauty onto clothes etc..anything you can adorn with, adding to its value and worth.

Had the chance to learn from my aunt in Malacca before, with lots of patience required for this fine needlework. Its rather tedious to complete a well embroidered piece that I divert my interest to crocheting shawls & capelets instead. Can only do this on weekends, as weekdays I’m confined to guiding my daughter in her schoolwork. “Mari kita belajar bersama lain kapan waktu izin, ya”?

    Cheers!

  3. Hi Nor

You want to learn embroidery. I am good in that. Did a lot of pillow cases for my dad who loves it. I did cross-stitch on table cloth too.

  5. Hi Nor, Sue and Gwyneth

Glad that this post brought up new sewing ideas. You can use this post to continue the thread on embroidery etc.No worry lah.

Quilting has to be shelved for the present. Sorry about this as I know a few had indicated they want to learn.Jie’s interest is in crochet now.

Also I realise that quilting takes up a lot of time and I think not so simple(to me). So will stick to cross stitch which I enjoy. For those who really want to learn quilting. lessons are conducted at Spotlight. Found that out on 18 Apr meeting when we met there.

    Regards
    Joan
