David Shung – Member Profile

Hi all, I am David, Singaporean, aged 53, Chinese and married. I work as a full-time tutor, teaching mainly Maths to upper Primary and Sec 1 pupils. I enjoy my work and rest days are Sundays and some public holidays. When free, I read, watch movies, meet with family members and close friends, go window-shopping with my wife and have a good meal together. By the way, I’m a vegetarian..:) I used to play golf, but gave up two years ago, since I can’t play like Tiger Woods..:)

I am most willing to share my expertise and experience with SHC members in areas like education, investment and Forex trading. I was in the banking and finance industry for 17 years prior to giving private tuition. I am eager to meet new friends and have a meaningful and fun exchange. I love to travel as well, often making short trips to M’sia.

    Welcome aboard

Am sure that you’ll find a place in our fun and wacky club as interests are quite diversified.

wow, quite a change; from banking & finance to tuition!

  4. Hi David Shung,

I see that you are a working as private full time tutor . I believe you must have busy schedules for yr tutoring sessions from Mon to Sats ?

As for me a retired sec. sch teacher, I prefer flexi part – time tutoring where I could juggle my time in between for gym workouts, cycling, swimming, reading newspapers, maintaining my vertical garden , playing or walking with my foster dog , visiting friends, waching HK TVB dramas and enjoying reading newspps and having my cup of coffee or cooking my favourite meals not sold in hawker centres / food courts such as herbal pig brains soup/ herbal catfish soup. There was one at Chinatown which I sometimes frequent and it too had “disappeared” and no idea where it went too. :(

As you have been in private tutoring for a long time, can you pls. share with me yr great expertise in this area with me as I would like to learn more from you. OK ? Btw, my email add is sfc0007@yahoo.com.sg and hope to hear from you soon.
