  12. Sam/Dan,
Please register me for the D n D. I don’t own any pyjamas, only nighties, but will come up with something.
    Thanks

  13. Wow, wat an encouraging start, keep it coming. We certainly need all your support. The gals are coming, we need more men. Sam is on holiday and will be out of touch for a while.

I was quite skeptical of this pyjams thing, would the gals come in nighties, lingeries or wat have you. The guys can come in long john or sarongs. Anyway with Sam around anything goes.

Take the events with a pinch of salt, dare to come forward and make it one of the most hilarious event thus far. This is in line with wat our founder want it to be, make it fun and as crazy as we can.

Henry, I am curious wat is Chanel No. 8?

Tim, your suggestion is out of this world!

Steven Chan is going a bit far dragging his bed along hoping for a wet dream or an argy night!

Mary Chan, indeed we are wondering wat the something?

John Howe, I heard you are coming?

    Dan

Here I am in Chinatown in Macdonald, the place is packed with lot of over 45 folks and China ladies. How am I going to focus on my chess game!

    Dan

Please register for Xiang2, Veronique Lee and Jennifer Lim

    Thanks, Jennifer

  20. Sam/Dan,

Susan Tan wants to ‘cheong’ in to support you.
Pls register for both of us.
Btw, are you planning to include any performances from our
    own members?

    james

  21. Hi James,

I did not say I wan to ‘cheong’?????

U sabo me. As punishment, my bill should be picked up by u.

    susan tan

  22. Hi Sam/Dan,

Pls include me. What’s the seating arrangement like? Since it is buffet, will it be free seating, on a first come first serve basis, or “reserve seats for my kakis” basis? Do we have to form our own table arrangement, last last year?

If you need dance or skid performers, get James n Susan in fast… ha..ha..

    Cheers, Lydia.

  23. Hi James, Lydia,
we certainly would want our fellas member to contribute performances but will get back to you once the committees decide.

This is the first time we are roping in as many committee members as we could to ensure maximum participation. We cherish more of you to come forward to make it a success!

    Dan

  24. Gosh, I had a terrible day in bed, having just started a flu, sore throat and bad cough. Now, feeling better, so I thought I log in. Wow, 41 registered names for the D&D, just in one day.

Besides me, please add three names from the Caffe ie Margaret Lee, Rene Leong and Venika Leong.

Now, I am thinking. Pyjamas! Haven’t worn one for many years. I want to save some money. Anyone got a used pair of pyjamas, and the rubber string is still working.

Dan, I cann’t figure out how to dance with it though. With shoes or slippers or nothing.

Guys and Gals, this may not be the regular type of D&D, but it is a change, something different. And this is what makes SilverHairsClub different. You make that change. So, if you are not shy, do register to come. I wish Sam and committee all success.

    Terence Seah

  25. Terence,

Good question, how to dance with our pyjamas on? Shall we get Veronique to teach us belly dance? Just recently I came across a video on butt dancing, wonder who can teach us?

Not too long ago I was practicing a dance with JAL when halfway my pant drop off, we couldn’t stop laughing until we pengsan! This time I will wear a suspender with my pyjamas when I am dancing!

Lydia, your question on table arrangement and seating will be announced when the committee finalise the detail.

    Dan

  26. Aiyah, Dolly pop, you know i the confirmed stand-by man so if ada withdrawal then I masuk lor…….

  27. Hi Dan,

Please put me on the register, do not want to miss the fun.

    TQ

    Melissa

  28. Hi Sam/Dan/Organising Committee members

I understand that there will be no live band to grace the function due to budget constraint. I beleive that most will agree that live band music is preferred and definitely will provide a better and more enjoyable ambience. So, I’m checking thro my source for a less expensive food/venue in order that we can have live band music as opposed to CD music system.

Imagine if are able to reduce the the present food/venue cost by $5 or $10/pax we will have a surplus budget of #500 or $1,000 based on a 100 pax attendance. The surplus will be used to hire a full live band and provide door or lucky draw prizes. All crieria on easy/convenient access to venue and food quality shall remain the same or better. Would’nt that be great?

Nonetheless, I shall revert to you shortly. However, please don’t misread my intention is to steal your ‘thunder’. Just trying, as a fellow SCHian, to make the D&D function more fun, enjoyable and a memorable one.

Meantime, count me in for the D&D, one way or the other.

    Cheers..

  29. Hi Sam & Dan

Count me in plus my SHC member friends Karen Wong, Pharis, Lilian Tham, Rosalind Soh & Angela Straaten.

    TQ

  30. Hi Hamidah,

Please request Lilian Tham to contact admin re her membership. Please ensure that only registered members participate in SHC events.

    Terence Seah

  31. Hi! Dan & Sam

Pls register my parTCpant at the party. Look forward to the Pyjamas Evening – Rgds.

  32. Hi Jonson,

We appreciate your concern on finding a cheaper venue for the D&D. We have done some homework and realise that it is not easy as you suggested.

I have approached a certain venue in NUS, to book the big hall would cost $1200 for four hour only. Assuming that we get a caterer to cater at $25 per head, we still need to cost in the rental of tables and chairs, the PA system and other miscellaneous, and the venue is not easily accessible.

Considering all these factors we feels that it better to pay a bit more to avoid all these hassles! Having a live band would be ideal but we just to not have a budget for it.

We seek your understanding and assure you that this is the better solution.

    Dan

  33. Hi Sam/Dan,

I don’t want to miss the fun as well. Please count me in.
    Thanks alot.

    Grace Kang

  34. Hi Terence #41

To what I know Lilian Tham is SHC member for I think almost 2 yrs and as far as I know she only attended 2 SHC events ie Ronald Wie chalet where she did performance with me and SIC.

Will ask her to contact Admin.

    Tks

  35. The organizing committee wish to thank all of you who have given your strong support so far, we need more of you to help us hit the magic figure of 100 pax and more.

Some of you are wondering if this is for real, you may think ‘no way’ me in pyjamas to a party! Dun be fearful it all for pure clean fun.

I know to be seen at my vulnerable state in pyjamas mean that really I have nothing to hide. Yet I know that this is where we foster a closer tie with one another!

The call for sponsored gifts is up, we do appreciate if you have items to be donated for our lucky draws prizes.

No worries. Will hand over your post back to you when you are back.
    For now, just enjoy yourself.

    Cheers
    Carly Jie

  48. Hi Sam, Dan, Carly,

Like Jway, I don’t remember the last time I wore a proper pair of pyjamas. Well I bought a pair last night, made from 100% cotton. The top is pretty big, comfortable and has two big pockets. The bottom is airy, has a slit with two buttons and big enough to hold two 1.2 kg chickens.

Not to sure what to wear for footwear. Slippers?

Guys and gals, if you are coming, do come in pyjamas, with pins and clips on the hair. No makeup, eh.

I encourage you to keep dreaming. What are you going to wear that night? Men?

    Terence Seah

  49. Hi Terence,

Whatever you have bought sounds like a pair of “ding dong” trousers. Maybe this is the modern type cos those in the good old days, you get the stripe baggy shorts with rubberised waist bands and one small pocket on one side of the bum. Whatever you guys want to wear, make sure whatever you have inside are properly secured and won’t pose any danger of a peek-a-boo. You can wear bedroom slippers or just go around bare footed.

We ladies have a choice of lacy lingerie, Teddy, sleeping gown, kimono, shorts and Tee, big Tee, sarong wrap, etc.

    Cheers
    Carly

  50. Carly, I shall take note of your warnings. I am still not sure why the EO or EOs had this theme in their mind. Can only suspect they had a bit too much wine to drink.

Now. I shall let my imaginations run wild. I am sure most of you have seen Chinese movies of Emperors and Empresses in the bedroom. The Emperor would wear something and the Empresses would wear something, inside and something outside. Got to say they look very nice.

I guess these were the imperial pyjamas in the good old dynasty days. Any one of you planning to wear these inner wear of the good old years. Let me know if you know where to buy them, in Singapore Chinatown.

    Terence Seah

  51. Sam/Caroline,

I will contribute @ 20 items for the lucky draw.

    Cheers
    Ros
