Karaoke Session anyone?

I haven’t sung for a long, long time but I do recall the fun and hilarity when I had a great time with friends karaoke-ing. To make it an evening of non-stop laughter, what my friends and me did was to do a ‘live’ translation of dialect lyrics to English songs. Likewise for a Mandarin song, anyone who is bilingual can do the translation to English or vice versa.

Before I create a proper thread, I just want to find out WHO and HOW MANY is interested. I believe that is a max pax per room for places like Party World or K Box.

If I get a good response then I’ll organize this event.

    I was informed that there is a group that meets every weekend for karaoke session. If you’re interested to join this group let me know and I’ll forward your email to the organizer. All SHC members of course. :p

    I was thinking of a weekday – Friday, actually. Since I’ve posted this I reckon I’ll do a one-off kind of event and should any participants want it to become a regular thing then we’ll do it.

    The venue will be either KBox or Party World in the central part of Singapore.

    I am a new member. i have not participated in any activity since becoming a member as i am busy on weekends. would like to join in karaoke sessions if it is on weekdays. cheers

    This is good news. It would be great to get together on a regular basis to sing out hearts out. We’ve loads & loads of singers in SHC, so just go ahead a plan. We can even start a SHC singing group! However, finding a suitable venue & a common timeslot might be a challenge. Fridays are usually busy for most people! Can we do it Mondays thru Thursdays?

    Thank you very much for responding to my thread.
    I will check with the Karaoke establishments on rates that will be equally divided amongst participants.

    I will create a separate thread soon with details. Please note this will be a one-off session as I do not wish to ‘clash’ with another group who goes karaoke-ing every weekend. :)

    Please count me in for weekday k session and thanks. I have to admit first that I do not sing well, though I love to listen to songs/music. I’m not biligual and therefore Mandarin is far too challenging for me.
    p/s although I joined SHC half year ago, I have yet to participate in any of the organised function.
