  1. I have leanings in everything Chinese and Chinese orchestra is certainly one. I am warming up to this charity event.

    One question tho.

In what form of charity/benevolence can volunteers render, obviously this trip is not to be mistaken as a holiday? If cash donation is desired, we will need to prepare and carry enough of the correct currnecy with us…

  2. Hello Tim

Your S$45 (ferry tickets cost $45)for room and dinner is already considered as donation. but if you want to donate a bit more, then put you name for the tree planting by giving S$20. Hope to see you, your loved ones joining me in this event! terima kasih

  3. Thanks Frisna.

My kid is interested but she’s already booked on a learning overseas excursion over that weekend. Her dad will go no less.

I love to sing Chinese songs and can be on standby. No love songs, no ”???“?”???????“ from me but the likes of “??”?“????“? ”???“?

Please dont hesitate to let me know what more I can do than to walk through the orphanages, show empathy, witness the planting of trees, sit thru an prchestra performance and have dinner at nite. I shall be in tee so my sleeves are already rolled up, and in shorts to do some running around.

  4. Frisna, those you mentioned are of nay importance as long as the principal objective of the trip is met.

I will take a minimum of 10 trees but pls pls dont ask me to dig 10 holes unless it pleases the kids.

If I can hv a room to myself, that will be great. Will pay for the additional charge.

Thanks n see you this 21st.

  5. Hi Tim,
Thank you for your kind support. Don’t worry the holes will be dug, all we have to do is to put them in, sholve some dirt and water them. It will be a therapeutic experience. You can see them grow whenever you visit the site at KTM resort. And yes, we can book you a room- it’s $60 for 2 pax incl of breakfast ($10 goes to charity), children can squeeze in free. There is a children’s playground and a saltwater pool at the resort. There is also a good place for fishing.

Please give me your name in passport, passport no, expiry date and dob for booking of hotel & ferry. Payment directly to hotel & ferry operators. Tree planting donations directly to the organiser when you are there (fr Peter)

PS: Tim, aren’t you going to bring your valentine?

Haha, Frisna, I dont think I hv an eye to tell one tree from another altho the trees might recognise me and say hello, esp if they’re ripe with shapely papayas when I return.

What? You’ll squeeze kids into my room!!

None in KTM will hv peace that nite. When the kids return to their Homes, they’ll run riot there too, climbing all over the matron for papaya. They’ll be enriched, learning from me.

Fishing…..great !. I will dredge the pond and clean it up.

Bring Valentine? Valentine can neither be bought nor brought. She’s bogged down with work and is on standby to travel on work assignment.

Cd you pls write to me tnotswit@hotmail.com for my passport details, pls?

This is a co-ordinated activity. Curious, how many Lion’s helpers hv already signed up at last count? You, Peter and me plus all the lions from Mandai?

  7. Returned tired and shagged but i think I can say for all 53 from Spore that we are more wholeosme for the experience.

Joy was redefined when we saw the glow on the kids’ innocent faces.

Thank you Peter and Frisna for the enrichment.

Fittingly, Peter got the 2nd highest donation for the karaoke charity, beaten only by the local Tourism Chief, and only bcos it was in keeping with protocol.
