SHC October monthly gathering now confirmed as follows:

Place: Gourmet Paradise foodcourt at basement of HDB Hub, Toa Payoh.

Cost: F&B on your own acct.

Topic: Sharing and using mobile phone apps, eg Bus schedules, SHC on the phone, Facebook and buying airtickets on Trip.com and “Ageing together in JB”.

The Club hopes every member will EO organise at least one event during the lifetime of your membership.

Strictly no discussions relating to politics, race, religion, sex, direct selling and MLM.

  1. We have set Sat 12 Oct 2019 afternoon for a presentation and discussion on CPF issues, related to retirement.

    This is a follow-up to the WhatsApp group discussion on CPF Life, mediahield and retirement accounts. The group discussion is ongoing, and members are invited to particioate. We encourage members to contact CPF directly on their CPF accounts and queries. However, if you are comfortable to hear the experiences of other members, or may not have the time to visit the CPf branches, come join the SHC CPF chatgroup.

  2. So far, there has been no feedback to hold a CPF presentation and discussion at the Oct 13 mthly gathering.

    As such, we shall cancel this topic. We would just have our regular monthly gathering.

  11. I am not sure why Soon Heng Rojak @ HDB Hub Gourmet Paradise is so popular, judging from the long queue, throughout the day. But lets find out.

    The first 2 members attending this monthly gathering, and can show the SHC cloth patch on a bag, cap, jeans, t-shirt, get to receive a voucher of $5 each to purchase a plate of Soon Heng Rojak. Plse show the item to the reception desk when you arrive.

    1. The Club has been holding its monthly gatherings since 2005 for members so as to provide a platform for over 45s to meet new and more Silverhairs friends.

      However, many new members sit throughout the whole event, waiting to be introduced. And many senior members continue chatting non-stop with old friends. It’s fun though.

      This Club is for every member. We are all over 45. Do stand up and introduce yourself. Dont be shy.

      Start by saying, “Hello, my name is KitKat. I am a new member. What’s your name?”.

  17. Susan Chan, a pioneer SHC member, often referred to as “Onlysue” joined SilverHairsClub in July 2007. Most members can easily recognise her from her ever-ready to smile dimple.

    A keen Rock&Roll dancer, Sue participates regularly in Club’s dancing events. As a supportive SHC member, she loves to bring members together and coordinating them to participate in club’s events.

    Sue is still working as a Personal Assistant to the Group MD of a public listed company. With her creative and business sense, she joined the SHC e-commerce group, gave tips and ideas on selling on the internet. Today, she is into further similar venture.

    At the coming monthly gathering, SueChan will be managing the registration desk at Gourmet Paradise on the 12 Oct 2019. Plse catch up with her when you arrive for the gathering. She is expecting to be there at 1350 hr, and seated at the far end corner of Gourmet Paradise, with the registration list.
