Free table tennis is available – just borrow the bats and balls from the booking office.                                                                                                                                                          December is the month of holidays and vacations, so we would appreciate that the regulars can indicate the dates that they are NOT AVAILABLE so that the courts need not be "wasted".emoticon If you do not wish to put it on-line, please SMS me or Yoon Chin so that we can co-ordinate the booking dates for December.              Thanks and let’s have a sweaty good time together.                                Cheers.. emoticon

  1. Dear Comrade Inez,
I will be away on vacation in December visiting my aged paternal aunts in Penang(my Dad’s hometown). They assured me that they would be feeding me with their homecooked tantalizing spicy nonya food. Thereafter, I would definitely be chided by my doctor for overfeeding myself as I am slightly diabetic.
Moreover,I am helping out in my church preparation for the forthcoming Christmas.
I shall practise again in January next year
as I would like to be in good shape for our Lunar New Year.

  2. Hello Inez

I hope to be able to make it tomorrow morning. Will be coming from the east. Hope too I can still run and hit the shuttlecock, at the right time. he….

  3. Hi Primrose
Thanks for the update of your absence for the games in December. We look forward to help you lose all the weight you’ve gained when you return in January. Enjoy your holidays

Hi Daisy.. looking forward to your regular attendance

The courts for November is confirmed – 22 and 29 from 10.00 to 12.00.
    See you..

  4. We all got a story to tell. From the east to the west the badminton players gathered at Bukit Gombak without fail every Thurday morning.

Inez with the help of Yoon Chin assured us that we are here to enjoy and sweat it out and with good fellowship. It will be lunch together after the game at a nearby kopitiam and adjourning for bowling, card games, bowling or mahjong.

Once a few of us visited Bollywood farm. It was great to meet Miss Ivy Singh, a very humurous person. She advocate ‘Active Living’ and not ‘Active Aging’!

On another ocassion we have someome who came with a low-cut. The guys was on the edge, always trying for a high smash to get a bird-rye view, alas it soon fizzle out.

Badminton may have a first casualty, Pat over stretched himself to retrieve a shuttlecock or cork (which is correct?) but hurt himself. He may be out of action for a while.

Badminton can be a tricky game where we outwit each other. It could be a drop shot or hit right to the back. Once I try to stretch forward to retrieve a shuttlecock but ended up tumbling forward and roll over. I survived the fall as I have some Judo training.

There were quite a few newcomers willing to take a day off just to join us.

Just last week someone hit a shuttlecork right to the bsck, I try to back-peddle but lost my balance and fell flat backward. All my Judo training could not help and Dan have a great fall with a thunderous thud! I could not carry on and was help to the bench with some dizzyness . A few minutes later I was back on the court again.

Back home I realised I have a swollen head, each time I would ‘sayang’ my head to feel whether there is a crack and hoping the swelling would would go away.

    Dan
