Brief Description:

LET’s TREK WHERE FEW VENTURE!

The PipeLine Rambles are a series of 4 treks introduced in 2008.   PLR 2 and PLR 3 are my favorite treks.
We did PLR 2 on 2nd August 2008, time to revisit this trek again!       emoticon

This interesting mini trek with lush greenery all the way is not “our norm walk in the park”.
The terrain is undulating, as we trek up  & down slopes, the route is mostly off the beaten track.
The trail is exploratory and you can add some excitement if you so wish,
**  get onto & walk on a large pipe OR
**  slide down another  OR
**  test of strength…. challenge your HAND POWER,  heave oneself up a 4-feet wall (if it is still there).

Let me assure you that the challenges are not as daunting as it seems; there are OPTIONS ….  hehe

The walk shall end at the newly transformed lifestyle hub: The Grandstand where a variety of cuisine awaits!

IF you do not wish your legs to itch, come in long pants, longer socks & proper walking shoes!
Stay cool Be cool!             emoticon

    Karen

  28. Hi Jeffrey & Christina

I enjoyed the PLR2 very much, very fun, challenging and interesting! Along the way, I get to see beautiful nature & pte houses.

In fact , this is my very first experience in such walk, but I have a strange feeling that I have walked this in my earlier dream.

Would definitely like to go for the next ramble.

    Thank you!

    June Koh

  29. Hi Christina, & Jeffrey,

Thanks for everything. It’s appear to be tough but at lsst I make it especially the crossing of the obstacle with the flowing big drain that remind me the phobia of water that I overcome. Besides, I enjoy the fellowship of the walk group very much.

    Many Thanks!
    Shirley

  30. Hi Christina

I don’t understand why everyone just praise the walk and no one complain. Let me be the only one.

In the advertisement of the trip, it mentioned it is an approx. 3 hour trip, but what we got is just two hour. So the fun for the walk is ?????,???. When will you give us back the remaining one hour??

Haha, don’t angry, my old friend. Let walk the same route 4 and a half year later. In that time, may be we really need 3 hour or more to finish it.

  31. Dear Photographers

If you have taken some photos of the above event and would like to share with other members, please email them for uploading to our website. Would appreciate your respond before 17 Mar 2013.

    Thank you.

  32. #43 DorineT,

appreciate your effort to post to inform us of your absence :D

    #44 DC,

yes, I’ve received your msg, appreciate your effort to put it on the blog.

    #45 KarenT,
Thanks! for 7years, our team have been doing what we know best ie., our nature walks are always interesting! haha Participants are also of the good kind so even not for the walk, chit-chat amongst friends with nature, very soothing for our souls! :D :D

As I have shared before the start of the walk, was very happy with this grp who had signed up and came! Because Jeffrey was busy in BKK and I was much under-the0-weather for almost 4 weeks… both of us could’nt meet to do a proper recce though I managed to recce the intial 10mins of the walk so, it was truly a ramble…. :D
After this experience, I feel the walkier have matured, they trust us and just walk-on! This gave assurance that we can do more of such “wild” rambles hehe

Special thanks to ALL who had given a helping hand and cheered on those who found the challenging a wee daunting but overcame nonetheless! :D :D

    Sincere thanks!
    ChristinaCL Chan

  33. #48 AndrewY,

since when you become so de very “cheong-hei”! Call me, I can provide you another 2hours of walk! haha

ps: I know you just try to be a wee naughty, ya!

2013 — expect to see you in ALL our walks this whole year!

    Rgds,
    ChristinaCL

  34. #51 Christina

Haha, now I become a naughty old man.

That means besides my name is young, I am also young at heart. In Chinese, it should be ????, ????. Am I right? Haha.

No matter how, thanks for you promise, you owe me a two hours walks in 2013 (only you and me – grandmum and grandpa??). I will claim it anytime, be prepared.

  35. Hi #52Andrew,
In my opinion if the time taken for a repeated event is shorter compare with the previous one, it proves the capability of the organisers don’t you think so. To me this pipe line walk was a great challenge but as the saying goes ‘If there is a will, there is a way’. Anyway Jeff and Christina thanks for the effort you put in.

  36. #53 LucyT,

whoa! didnt expect coming from you… Direct! I like it!
    “kam sia chui chui”! :D

    #52 AndrewY,
To be naughty in a nice manner is great! hehe

When am doing another recce, you will be invited. If you miss it, then, that’s it! No accrual, hor! :D

    Cheerio!
    ChristinaCL Chan

  37. Hi ChristinaCl, Jeffrey and fellow walkists,

I was looking closely at the pipeline walk pictures, and I noticed there were a number of gentlemen and ladies who had given their hands to help one another to cross over difficult paths, canals and bridges.

I think this is a great show of support for one another. We have specially selected the photo in the web banner above.

Can one of you please tell me who’s who in the picture? Thank you.

    Teence Seah
