Music makes the world go round. This is definitely true, judging from the music and songs that are played on this website and during our varied events. I had played the role of the Video Jockey. Our second VJ was Dolly Lim. Now, I think it is a good time to have our third VJ. This is an opportunity to express your music talents and interests. If you are shy, this may be the role for you.
In this role, the VJ picks songs from the 60s and 70s, and play them on the top left hand corner of the Club’s website. These music clips can also be from any era, and any language. Sometimes, the video can be inline with current activities and members’ requests.
Pre-requisites would include:
1. Familiar with songs from the 50s, 60 and 70s, in our common languages and dialects.
2. You must believe that that “Music makes the world go round”.
3. Familiar with the SHC culture, and loves helping fellow members get to know new and more friends. Have been with the Club for at least two years. Can interact with the Club membership.
4. Able to spend 30 mins a week, to select videos and upload this video to our web server.
5. This role is not difficult; although the person should be comfortable with the computer and internet.
6. Can be of any sex and and age.
7. Term: 1 year. Candidates are required to ensure confidentiality on all membership database. Those who cannot maintain strict confidence with email information need not apply.

I am trying to form a pool of mahjong enthusiast to arrange game. As there are many factors thus challenges to co-ordinate members preference for the game especially stake, convenience time, location , etc
Thus, I would like to take this off-line separately when I get the name of those interested. The whole purpose of co-ordinate this is so that SHC members keen on the game can get together to play to pass time within your affordability, have fun be comfortable with each other.

Welcome to the club and it is always never too late to learn. Just to create a post for this activity instead.
Creating post is easy as this new improved website is quite menu-driven these days.
Click on Latest Post at the top left corner of this site and this will bring you to the Dashboard (Top right hand corner)
1) Click on post
2) Click on Add new
This is will bring you to the creation of a new post.
a) Enter a title
b) After the title, you can type in the content of the post that you are creating..
Suggest that you save draft at the top left hand corner since you are relatively new to this.
After you have complete the post. From the botton left, select the category of this post.. for this case, you can tick on indoor activity, hobby, etc…
Save the final draft.
Once all these are done, click on the ‘publish’ – then for the post to be appeared in this site so that those mind-like members can comments..

Will have to try this at my home PC cos my company IT policy deny access to the the site at the left hand corner of SHC. Message shown : Your system policy has denied access to the requested URL.

Oh, oh… did you do it during working hours?? And… “stake”??!! Oh dear, what will the Gaming Commission think??!!
