Table Tennis at Clementi Sports Hall (CSH), Tues 11 & Thurs 13 June 2013

Dates: Tues 11 & Thurs 13 June 2013

Time: 8.00am to 10.00am

Those interested please register here.

There are 6 table tennis tables in CSH. I’ve paid for booking (senior rate $1.10 for an hour) Table 5. Usually seniors will play at 2 tables for free from 7.00am to 9.00am. Thereafter most tables are booked by trainers to train kids. Just watch the kids! They’re fantastic! I picked up some tips from them as they are being coached by professional trainers.

Hope to see you!

Linda ( Picked up playing table-tennis this year. Did not play since Pr School days (half a century ago!  Not to worry any innate skill will surface once you’ve played before!)

  1. Hi Linda,

Good initiative, must be the first table tennis I see being organised. Well done.
Some changes have been made to your text.

  2. Hi Linda,
I am glad that this event is in Clementi – very convenient for me.
I will drop by on Tuesday morning, after my morning walk and
exercise. Look forward to meeting you.

    rgds, Barbara

  3. Hi Barbara! Welcome to our Ping Pong Sessions. See you!

Li Li – do come by. I have an extra bat – bought from Popular. Will be getting better bats when I get better at Ping Pong. See you on Thurs!

Hi Pat- we’re very comfortable at CSH. Lots of retirees ( especially men) who play 5 days a week from 7.00-9.00am

  4. Hi Linda

When I was in HK, I like table tennis, but never touch the tennis table in Singapore. Will come on 13 morning. Sorry I just bring myself, as I don’t have the bat and the ball. Thanks for organizing the event.

  5. After the line dance last night, I can still play 2 hr table tennis this morning, this make me realized that I am not only young at name, my body is also not as old as I think, nice.

    Hi Linda,
Thanks to make me touch the tennis table again after more than 20 years. If the event continue, I will be a regular of Tue (not Thu, as Wed I have to go line dancing). This morning, I am not playing good, but be careful! Next time I will sure show you the colour — the colour of my bat, haha.

PAP should means – Played and Paid, or Pay after played. If we change it to PnP – Play, not paid ????????. So please share the cost for the event next time. Thanks and see you next Tue.

  6. Hi Andrew & Barbara,
So glad that you both could join me at Clementi Sports Hall. Everyday there are seniors playing from 7-10.00am. We play on whichever table is available. Tues and Thurs are less crowded days. My aim is to introduce all of you to each other so that when I’m away on holidays you people can carry on.

Both of you picked up so quickly that I’m amazed.
Andrew – you’re far too good for us!
See you next Tues 18 June! Nothing like a good sweat -out playing Ping Pong for at least 2-3 hours!
    Linda

  7. Hi Linda,
Tks for starting this event. I am really enjoying it, especially with the haze, cannot
do outdoor exercise. See you in a couple of weeks when I return from China.
