SHC Calendar of Events is up, at the top of website

Two months ago, Christina Chan suggested the issue of a diary of SilverHairsClub activities.  As more posts come up, events are pushed lower the forum listing.  This makes it difficult to find the events.

Dolly Lim and Yew Kwong have both volunteered to be SHC Calendar of Events managers.  If you are organising an activity for SilverHairsClub members, you may inform Dolly or Yew Kwong.  They will insert your activity into the Calendar of Events.   Thank you both for volunteering.

Note:  Non-SHC members, external organisations, external events, advertising or promotions not allowed.

    Thanks for managing the calendar. Am sure with so many activities going on… it will keep you both very busy.:)

    Congratulations for suggesting and managing the Calendar of Events. It is indeed a very useful tool as it gives a bird’s-eye view of events.

    Perhaps, both your names could appear at the top of the calendar so that members will know whom to approach for publicity of their relevant activities.

    Robert, as we are right now still at the teething stage, hv yet to really browse into other aspect of the Event Calendar. Rest assured that we will improvise when time to come…

    Now we have no excuse of getting the date & time wrong, with the Calendar in place, we can print out and plan our activities accordingly so that it will not clash. May I suggest that you put in the venue as well, to be more precise. Like that, at one look, we got all the info mah.

    All info are there la… just click on the date of event, it would automatically showed all the details le…. Happy searching…

  7. Oh didn’t know that the calendar function is up and the calendar option is at the top left hand corner of the website.

    Really cool…no more rolling up and down to look for events…Thanks to Terence, Yew Kwong and Dolly for implementing this for our convenience…

    It sure saves me a lot of trouble to teee, teee, teee, character by character, the event info into my mobilephone calender which takes up time and so much memory space.

    Now we can all events on the calendar with all its details.
    Just waiting for the banner on top to be changed so that the words can be more visible.

  11. Joy had made a gd suggestion. Its simple n easily be done. Just follow these steps –

    1st : open IE (or FireFox) windows A n do your comments.

    2nd : open another IE (or FireFox) windows B but dont close your current IE A (or FireFox) windows.

    3rd : click on SHC webpage n then click on Calendar. Copy (or cut) url (web address)on IE B.

    4th : click on IE A tab on the taskbar n paste url at the end of your comment.

    5th : then upload n you should see something like this.

    Example :

    Today is 16 Jun 07. We have done our monthly cycling activity. Keep our next date by viewing here – http://silverhairsclub.com/calendar/ActivitiesforY2007calendar.html
