I thot I shall update myself here, as there are hundreds of messages every day about my health, and I am unable to respond.
Yes, I had a 2nd heart attack, an unusually low BP, below 80 levels, leading to a blood infection which require moving my dialysis point from the chest to my groin.
The infection has caused severe chills, despite the cold air conditioning at TTSH. 7 blankets did not help. And my leg joints were just painful. Further, blood tests are required and one more surgery expected.
Jean Lim has been with me all this while. And she is well updated. Tq for her care all this while.
I will be moving to the general ward, but have to apologise I wish to rest and unable to take visitors.
I enjoyed all the strange stories about this hospital stay, many are very wrong, but I guess concern was at heart. Pls do not circulate other stories, except from this forum.
For this reason, I had been pushing with succession, and will pushing again in keeping SHC team moving.
Since 2005, it has my been my desire to help seniors find friends of common interest and keep loneliness at bay. So, stay social and dont fight.

In the early days of SHC, we had EC events. As we move on with the club, we still require all SHC events to be EO events only.
However this requirement has become not practical for many events.
Today, SHC Admin, Dolly Lim, also a pioneer since 2005, proposed allowing for EC events . I shall review this and revert with a position in a weeks time.
1. SHC EO events can only be participated by Ordinary members.
2. EC events are organised by members, and partially participated by friends of members.
3. , SHC members, ECs, may publish their photos or videos in SHC Forum or Facebook.
Only mames, groups and photos of Ordinary members can be published in the forum.
4. We will not support anti SHC activities..
5. In doubt, consult the SHC admin Dolly Lim or Sally. Foo or myself.
For SHC Facement, approval can be given by Facebook admin Jean Lim. Facebook is more free for EC events
One night in Seoul is a theme Dinner & Dance. This event is part of a series of one night events, held previously in Shanghai, Bangkok, Johor, Hongkong, Taipei and Tokyo.
This year, we move to Seoul. We plan for 100 pax, but if the organisation goes well, we may do 150 or 200 pax.
1. We start by identifying the ballroom, capable of between 100 and 200 pax.
2. Recruiting membets able to sing popular korean songs.
3. Once venue jdentified, we piece together a reception team, a F&B and decor team, a participation team, a music team, etc.
4. After venue, we look for a band or music system to meet our requirements.
It has come to my attention that you have been bringing groups of SHC members for tours and makan and selling and promoting products from Riway deer placenta pyramid scheme and promoters who claim pills can help stage 4 cancer.
MLM activitites is strictly not allowed in the club. And bringing members on tours, makan and presentations.
I’m about to take action and ban you from Silverhairsclub. If I do not hear from you by 31st December 2022, any justification or consideration, your ban will start immediately 1st January 2023.
We have been working on renewing our management last 5 years. However, we have not been successful finding a volunteer management team, especially a team leader, after 17 years in operation.
The Silverhairsclub is still looking for a leadership change to take charge for the next 5 years.
We announce to all SHC regularly every month. If you are not getting our announcement, it means you are not a member. Only Ordinary members can participate.

SilverHairsClub news update:
On the pessimistic side, the world is in a mess. There is covid around every corner, the not-so-sure when the Russian-Ukraine war can end, the outcome of the US mid term elections, why the world suffers from oil shortage when the US has huge crude oil capacity and Russia is sanctioned from selling to China and India. And why China is circling Taiwan.
Seniors may not feel the effects of this ongoing mess. But we know GST increase must go through. Petrol getting expensive. Fresh chickens are getting smaller. And we dont know why we still feel we are getting younger.
If current affairs is your interest, join us on zoom, every Wed 8pm, including tonight.

There has been reports of member abuse by one member to another new member, involving a SHC activity.
Evidence given to me confirmed the use of abuse words.
I have given the person until tomorrow 20 Aug 2022 6pm to give full details why I should not terminate his SHC membership.

Upon termination, this person will be withdrawn from all whatsapp groups, club forum and facebook. No participation in any club activity. There will be an announcement, upon termination.

It has come to my attention that some members get a commission when introducing other members to external courses including skills development or skill credits courses.
In concept, it sounds like “Why not?” when the cause is good.
SHC was developed as a free platform. It incurs costs in operating the Club. However, some members are unwilling to contribute to a SHC startup operating fund. And they use our members and forum to advertise and collect monetary benefits in return.
The Singapore Government is encouraging SMEs, restaurants, and all businesses to digitalise its its operations. Can we digitalise club activities, membership applications, approvals, membership tracking, etc.
How can we digitalise network working to meet out club objective? Volunteer your time to bring technology into SHC.
At last night’s meeting, 11 Jul 2021, Daniel Chan has suggested to take SHC forward as a registered entity. His view is that we cannot collect donations if we are unregistered.
From members’ feedback in recent surveys and live recordings, members have overwhelming opted to remain status quo ie unregistered and informal. Plse follow this thread.
To give this topic one more opportunity to bring SHC into the registered status, I am open to Daniel Chan bringing his suggestion into fruit.
DanielC, pls go ahead to do all necessary discussions with members, to set up SHC as a registered entity. This will likely take some months. Once your protem committee and entity is set up, you can invite current members to join this new entity. I open this option and shall leave this to you.
Meantime, SHC shall proceed to move forward as preferred by the majority of SHC members. We shall stay clear within the laws as Singapore citizens, and keep to our rules of not engaging in politics, race, religion, sex, direct selling and MLM. Our single objective, since 2005, is to provide a platform for seniors to meet new and old friends.
