Phonies

You know, darlings, we try to look at the good side of people when they seem to be genuine; ooh, being helpful and all that shiat but in the end they are nothing but pathetic attention seekers who absolutely don’t exist without THIS CLUB!!

Terence loves this, dahhhh!! but as far as I am concerned, please have a life, you are nothing, exactly how you feel without this club.

Sad? Absolutely! But some people are soooooo pathetic they cling on to whatever to feel their existence.

Oh, darlings, they scream (like Terence) that they are doing it out of FRIENDSHIP!!! Kekekee….

  1. Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas and a Fair 2014. Live and Let Live, then boh-tai-chi.

I shall try to organise an Indonesian island trip next May.

    Regards

  2. Hi Abel
As a suggestion would you like to organise a NZ south island trip.
    Basic itinerary:
    Christchurch
    Kaikoura
    Greymouth
    Frenz Josef
    Wanaka
    Queensland
    Milford Sound
    Christchurch
These places are some of the scenic beauties of New Zealand.
The best time to visit is March-April.
There are two other SHC members who are also keen.
    Regards
    Robert Ong

  3. Geraldine,

I read this post the day it appeared. At first, I thought the Post had good intentions, but after reading it again, I find it anti-membership. While you may consider straight talk your style, I don’t find it funny. It insults members and discourages member participation. This is especially unbecoming of a Club committee member, and you have no right to insinuate anybody in the Club.

The Club has only one objective, and that is to provide a platform for SilverHairs to meet new and more friends. Anything else runs counter to the Club objective.

I hope you will respect our members, and set a good example with your words. I won’t discuss this issue any further, and neither will I tolerate such attacks in the Club forum.

  4. I received a phone call at 6 am Sunday morning, asking me to read the SHC blog. I did and was quite disturbed. Subsequently throughout the day, phone calls and emails kept coming, talking about this post. To date, I have received 11 emails, 5 SMSes and of course numerous chat line conversations. One email has the names of 9 ladies. They all wanted me to write something to reflect their disdain to this post. They said I am the “Club Policeman”, a title I vehemently denied as I find it unenviable.

Anyway, my reply to them was, “See how the Chief respond. I will write only when the Chief does”.

Thank you Terence. You have not disappointed me…and us.

This post very aptly describes a certain “Club Manager” who mysteriously vanished and re-appeared several months later. Quote: “Sad? Absolutely! But some people are soooooo pathetic they cling on to whatever to feel their existence.” How true!!!

Quote “shiat but in the end they are nothing but pathetic attention seekers who absolutely don’t exist without THIS CLUB!!”.
I must admit I fall into this category. I don’t know what to do without this club. Perhaps that ex Club Manager would like to hold hand with me and commit suicide when this Club were to close shop.

  5. Dear Friends with attention to Robert Ong,

Since the early Nineties, my organised trips have been the furtherst, to the North is Betong(south-west Peninsular Thailand) and Golok(south-east Peninsular Thailand), to the South is Singkep Island, fourteen-hour boat trip southwards from Tanjung Pinang, Bintan Island, and to the West is Selat Panjang(less than one hour to mainland Sumatra island) which was twice coupled with a first-visit to Tanjung Batu, Kundur Island and all these two-to-four-days trip had a budget of less than Five Hundred dolars.

My plan is to organise a trip to the Anambas-Natuna Island group(main two towns are Matak and Tarempa) which is north-east of Batam Island with a flight-time of Sixty-five/Seventy minutes introduced by Riau Airlines in March/April Twenty-Eleven but regretably still with uncertain weekly departure date and time.

Alternatively, my plan is a day-trip to Kukup and after seafood lunch, a visit to Tanjong Pia, the southernmost land’s-end of the Asian continent, then a coffee-break at Gelang Patah and a look-see of Iskandar township.

    I shall put up a definite-confirmed Post by mid-or-end February for a mid-May trip.

Regards plus hopefully an Untroubled and Fair 2014 to all Silverhairs

    Abel Tan
