SHC 1st Golf Open – 23rd Feb at SCC

We finally drove 2009 past one major milestone in SHC history, the first Golf Tournament Open Invitation,
thanks to Janet Loo and Lin Chuah helping me to stir enough interest and also sponsoring the prizes.

The tournament was held at Sembawang Country Club on the 23rd Feb Monday afternoon.
Almost
90% of the known registered golfers in SHC turn up for this event and
though it rained and delayed play for one hour, we managed to complete
the game.

The day started off with the following flights:

1329 – Janet Loo,  Margaret, Minja, Dick Foo
1337 – Andrew Koh with Keppel group ( 4 balls) 
1345 – Ron Wi, Chin Boon, Thomas Ho (SCC member), Dr Jayaram ( Scc member)
1353 – ST Teow, Edward, Raymond , and Tian Soon (Home Team) 
1401 – Bessie , Siew Hoon , Ping Hock, Mak K T (Ping’s friend) 

Tournament results :

Best overall score (Mens) SHC Red cap (SHC version of the Augusta’s Masters Green Jacket) – Andrew Koh 96

The day ended with dinner and Karaoke and with hopes for more golf games and hole 19s in future.

The
next golf game will be on the 23rd Mar at SCC , Mon afternoon at $53
and I will try to make arrangements to accept all those who are keen to
play, even if it is more than 2 flights.
