Just to share with all of us something I came across in the papers. There is a public auction of valuable stamps, banknotes (including golden number banknotes on behalf of the Monetary Authority of Singapore), coins and antique (hmmm…wonder if I could display myself as an antique…for auction? hmmm…) postcards on 3 and 4 Nov 06 at Hotel Le Meridien Singapore.
What is interesting is the public preview on 2 Nov 06.

Suaku me…I thought, and I thought wrong, that the public preview would mean that all the items are showcased. It turned out that the items are listed in a catalogue (without photos) and they will only bring out the items you are interested in for you to see. I made a quick exit. There was only a handful of people when I was there this afternoon.

Hi Joy, there was a suaku but rest assured, it wasnt you. The susku one departed from convention and apart from a catalogue, chose to hide the items close to the bosom making viewing troublesome, and if none made an offer firm, it’s a lesson they shd quickly learn.
