ST20210627_202119601467 Yong Li Xuan/ cyocbc/ Afi, 7, completed a 75.3km bike ride from Bukit Panjang to Coney Island in 5 hours. After Afi’s personal achievement was shared in a Facebook group, an experienced cyclist Loh Yew Kwong gave Afi an OCBC Ride 2021 medal to encourage him. The OCBC Cycle team has arranged for Afi and his family to meet Yew Kwong.

We do have our very own cycling group communities – jointly organized by Douglas Chan, Ronald Lam and Loh Yew Kwong on a monthly basis.  Take up this hobby as a form of exercise and have a good bonding with all passionate cyclists – Keep exploring with your Bike and who knows you might capture some beautiful scenes while cruising.

Below is the FB write-up link from a mother thanking Yew Kwong for his kind gesture…

  1. This is the Yew Kwong I know. I have known Yew Kwong for many years now. He never say no to anyone who seeks help from him if it is within his capabilities to do so. He is always there with us whether it is for cycling, chit chat, travelling, Lim kopi or makan. He is soft spoken and aways has a smile on his face. I remembered going on a trip to Bandung and Jogja. He was the thorn among the roses. We got to rotate him in sharing rooms and he is always the gentleman. We should have a reunion gathering when there is no limit to the number of pax. Yew Kwong, you are one nice guy! Take care and keep doing what you enjoy! Hats off to you!

  2. Yes, YC, agreed absolutely. I am very sure that most pioneer members remembered YK (Yew Kwong) fondly for lots of activities that he had created especially for the cycling group to make this club more vibrant. Keep it up, Tai Lor… Cheers..
