  2. Hi Thean Liew

Welcome to the SHC. I’m from next door – at Serangoon. I notice you didn’t say much about yourself in your post. Hmm that gives you an aura of mystery. (lol!)

Do join the big chitchat and coffee at the monthly meeting on this coming wed and get to know more members. You might find some members living around Kovan and Hougang. :)

  3. Hi Thean Liew

Welcome on board. I am also from the Serangoon neighbourhood.

Hope to meet you at one of the activities, especially the monthly walk.

    Cheers

  7. I am in Serangoon (actually Braddell Height Estate), near Kovan.

Would be interested to join activities (sports e.g badminton, makan, etc) if timing is right.

  9. Hi Thean Liew,
I am at Hougang Ave 7. I am still “exploring” Kovan and Hougang for good makan places. Today I was at Hougang Ave 9 and found out there is NTUC supermarket at a Hougang 1 Mall. I will KIV this place for makan next time with my family.
#8 Hi Melissa… I used to do brisk walking opposite my place at Serangoon Park Connector, I took a “slow” walk all the way to Ponggol/Lor Halus. If I ever go again, I shall give you a call. This weekend not free as I am flying off to Padang, Indonesia. I missed the one organized by SHC. Now, I wonder how and where can I get those scrumptious-looking lobsters featured in the photos of Padang trip??? Anyone care to help with information?
    My contact is laurawee@hotmail.com
    Best regards

  10. Hi
I am sad to report that the Padang lobsters have decided to “run” far far away from me…However, i managed to see Hotel Bumiminang which looks like ghost building at 7 plus in the evening. It is still under renovation. Spend most of my time at Bukittinggi and its surrounding beauty like Lake Singkarak, Twin Lakes, hot spring (dipped for 30 minutes for therapeutic purpose),tea plantation,Pantai Air Manis to see the statue of Malin Kundang. managed to squeeze time for hair spa with shoulder massage (RP50k), foot reflexology (RP36k) and eat lots of nasi padang (put on 400g…horrors!). Had lots of laughter theraphy (FOC).
Anyone keen can email me for more info.
    Laura
