Google Cloud and its Application

Learn Google Cloud storing & sharing of photos and documents together with other useful Google Apps

Google has an equivalent sets of Apps (Google Document, Google Sheets & Google Slides) that work quite similar to Microsoft Office (Words, Excel & PowerPoint) and is free for personal use. Google and Microsoft files are not compatible, however you can convert Google files, for viewing only, in the Micorsoft format.

You may have a set of photos taken on your smartphone you wish to share with your friend but the attachment files is so large and is not possible to be sent by standard email account. Using Google cloud is one of the solutions that can achieve what you wanted to do. There is a (IT) Talk in the library with the following details:

Date: 11th March (Saturday)
Time: 3PM to 5PM
Venue: Bukit Merah Library
Admission if free but registration is required

Directions: Nearest MRT: Tiong Bahru Station, exit and turn right, up escalator and take bus number 5 or 16 or 851 to end (Bukit Merah Bus Interchange). About 5 minutes walk to library. Ask for direction, if necessary
If interested in this talk, go to NLB web site via http://nlb.gov.sg/golibrary to register.
Note: NLB will only open for registration sometime after 24/25 of Feb.
