“Monthly Walks” is one of the monthly activities for SHC
\nmembers!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

When?   Every 2nd
\nSaturday of the month.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Scheduled walks will not be cancelled; rain or shine we will
\nbe there!  Thunder & lightning, we shall all be hiding! <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

For the 1st<\/sup> quarter of 2008, we had conducted 2
\nwalks.  Do note in your diaries, these
\nconfirmed dates, routes to be advised in due time:<\/span><\/p>\n

12Apr    –  Pipeline Ramble I<\/span><\/p>\n

10May  –  <\/span>Sembawang<\/span> <\/span>Park<\/span><\/p>\n

14Jun   –  Bedok Reservoir (tentative)<\/span><\/p>\n

12Jul<\/span><\/p>\n

02Aug   (instead of 
\n9Aug – National day)<\/span><\/p>\n

13Sep<\/span><\/p>\n

11Oct<\/span><\/p>\n

Actual trails\/details<\/span><\/strong> for each walk shall be posted in
\nthis website about 2 weeks before scheduled date.  Each Walk is lead by 2 leaders.  <\/span><\/p>\n

We are pleased to have <\/span>Mr. Jeffrey
\nLim<\/span> to join the Walk team, so now, there
\nis 5 of us<\/strong>  \"emoticon\" Charles Wee, Veronica Wong, Mary Tan, Jeffrey Lim and myself,
\nChristinaCL Chan.<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

More members are participating and enjoy the Walks and
\nfellowship. This, itself is the “driver”! \"emoticon\"
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

We are happy with the growth in participation and we wish urge
\nMembers to exercise personal and group responsibility:<\/u> <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Stay
\nclose to the group and look out for each other’s safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>If
\nyou are not feeling well, please inform your friends as well as the EOs.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>If
\nyou need to leave earlier, please inform the EOs prior to set-off.<\/span><\/p>\n

·        
\n<\/span>Individuals
\nare expected to exercise personal responsibility; adhere to rules set by <\/span><\/p>\n

Recommendation:<\/span><\/p>\n

1)  Always wear
\ncomfortable shoes; light, loose clothing<\/span><\/p>\n

2)  Bring a small
\nbottle of water; umbrella\/poncho<\/span><\/p>\n

3) 
\nOptional items: cap, sun block, camera\/binoculars, insect repellant<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4) 
\nBring only the minimum, light is good!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
