In her Sunday Times\u00a0article\u00a0&#8220;In praise of the things in your life\u201d**, the writer just could not part with her white elephants though the desire to declutter was there. Decluttering is an emotional thing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But there will come a time when the impulse to simplify gets strong enough for the simplifier wannabes to take concrete action \u2013 just like one finally gets one\u2019s will done, and the advance medical directive (AMD) too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*S.T.
