I just finished my breakfast in a shopping centre, here in Melbourne. Strolling around, I notice a long queue of seniors, approx 80 people. Busybody as usual, I got to the front of the queue to see what the excitement was all about. It’s 10am and every of these seniors were rushing to see the 11 am movie. It was cash only, just show the seniors concession card. There were a number of shows available eg there was “A single man”, “Up in the air”, “Fantastic Mr Fox” and “Crazy heart”.<\/p>\n
I don’t see this in Singapore. Guess most of us are too busy, no time for such trivials or it’s just not in our culture. Maybe we just settle for DVDs at home.<\/p>\n
Thinking aloud, I think this is a great retirement life, for seniors.<\/p>\n
