Discover the rustic charms of Coney Island or Pulau Serangoon, home to a wide variety of habitats, including coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. In keeping with the ideal of environmental sustainability, the signs, seats and even the boardwalk on the island are made from Casuarina timber from uprooted trees. Coney Island Park still feels like a world away from urbanity.<\/p>\n

We will walk along the Promenades paved areas to enjoy the views of passing ships and Johor\u2019s shoreline. Take photo at the famous Coney Island gate. Stroll along the earth paths, exploring the forest and mangrove habitats. Opportunities to observe and try spotting wildlife or listen to the chirping of birds. If you encounter any animals, keep a safe distance from them, do avoid approaching them. Do not feed the monkeys, or hold any plastic bag and water bottle when visiting the park. We move on to the beach areas which provide a nice seaside break after sweating out on walking.<\/p>\n

Walk will end back at the Western Entrance. For those who wish to have dinner, there are eateries at the nearby Punggol Settlement.<\/p>\n

Tips to prepare for a safe and enjoyable walk \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..
\nDress comfortably, advisable to wear long pants and covered walking shoes; bring drinking water to stay hydrated; wear a hat, put on sunglasses and apply sunscreen to shield yourself from the sun; apply insect repellent if you are prone to insect bites; bring umbrella or raincoat.<\/p>\n
