Hi, Members!  <\/p>\n

For our July gathering, let’s come away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown city area and meet outdoors at the Sengkang Riverside Park to play kampung games, and fly kite.  Mushroom Cafe in the Park has no walls; it opens out to the rolling landscaped greenery by the Punggol River.  <\/p>\n

Many of you enjoyed "March 2011 Walk – Sengkang Riverside PCN" on March 12 this year.  Freda Lim liked its "country-like scenery"! If you can, do come early to take in a brief walk among the trails, and the panoramic view from the hillock. <\/font><\/p>\n

On the agenda is "kampung games" like gasing, chapteh, hopscotch, five stones, marbles, red seeds, skipping rope, paper ball, hantam bola, fighting spiders, kite-flying, etc.<\/strong>  Many of you remembered these games that we used to play in the old days (Read Rosalind Lee’s post "Reminiscenses of the good old days" Feb 10, 2010).<\/font>  If you have these games or other games, do bring along and we’ll have fun replaying them.<\/font><\/p>\n

If you wish, can stay after 9.30 pm for line-dancing.  Some of the popular pieces: Electric Slide, Chilli ChaCha, Come Dance With Me, Cowboy Motion, Honky Tonk Stomp, Stroll Along ChaCha.<\/p>\n
