I registered as member since 2 or 3 years back, can’t remember. But have never get to know anyone of you.<\/font><\/p>\n

The 1st time I attended a annual dinner at Pine Tree club , I was late but stayed for about 2 hours or so. I only got to know the lady who sat beside me and dance with me.  <\/font>The rest seems to already know one another , although there were introduction but I guessed they felt comfortable talking to only ppl they know.  <\/font>I were quite disappointed as I am rather a shy person so I left quietly.  <\/font>Actually, I got a lucky draw but I donated back for a redraw.<\/font><\/p>\n

The reason why I join SHC, like all of you, to know more friends. As age is catching up, friends are getting lesser and sometimes quite lonely. I am single at age 53. Although in appearance I look social, I am not as I am quite plump. I am  a very different person as compare to my young days , I love dancing and singing. In fact, there were once, thru’ email from one of the SHC member, I cannot remember his name, I attended a dinner organised by a CC ( I think he with the social dance club ). I met up with him and bought 1 ticket , thinking I can meet some friends there. I took a cab from tampines to Hougang I think, and again to my disappointment, I felt like an ‘alien’ there. I stayed for about an hour and left .<\/font><\/p>\n

With these 2 incidences, I dare not join any of the activity again.  Also, have stop going to SHC website to find out what’s happening. I remembered I did log in once and forgot my membership number and cannot access to it anymore although there was a new number given to me. <\/font>Perhaps ppl like me not pro-active, that is why hard to find new friends. How ? <\/font><\/p>\n

Do you think I fit in to this club? <\/font><\/p>\n

<\/font>I spend a lot of time watching movies and downloading korean, taiwan and HK TV dramas to keep myself occupied but I feel that it is not getting healthy as I am living in the world of my own. <\/p>\n

SO , about time to go out to meet more ppl and socialise. <\/font><\/p>\n
