Some asked us not to cancel the <\/p>\n\n\n\n walk {smile, smile} <\/p>\n\n\n\n We shall continue to monitor the psi. Only if it is Above 100, will cancel <\/p>\n\n\n\n the walk… kindly check updates or WhatsApps me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ————-<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Haze hots up … psi this morning is from 94 to 96!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tomorrow by 12noon, if it hits 100! <\/p>\n\n\n\n September\u2019s Walk will be cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Date: Saturday, 14th Sep 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Time: 4.15pm sharp (Be punctual, please)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duration: approx 3 hrs \/ approx 6km – easy terrain<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meeting place : Potong Pasir MRT, NorthEast Line \u201cNE10\u201d Exit C (outside Old Chang Kee)<\/p>\n\n\n\n EC: Azhari C<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let’s stroll upstream along the river banks to our destination! An initiative by PUB was launched in 2006 to transform our waterways into beautiful streams with natural materials, waterscapes; creating spaces for the community to enjoy and increase biodiversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Bishan-AMK park was one of the flagship projects under this transformation programme between PUB and NParks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The park which is located in urban central Singapore was transformed from a concrete canal to having a natural “Kallang River” flowing into and through the park, an immense project never done before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The park now with lush greenery, grassy lawns, playgrounds, ponds, are all ideal for family picnics and gatherings; fitness enthusiasts cycle or pant along well-maintained tracks, or sit by the banks to see water ripples swirling through natural rocks, exceedingly soothing and therapeutic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The walk leaving us tired and hungry will culminate with dinner at Teck Ghee Court Food Cente. We had visited this park a couple of times some years back and had seen portions being boarded up for major refurbishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From here are buses available to either Bishan or AMK MRT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are not many or few shelters, good to have your brollies.
Water to hydrate on a hot day.
Need energy, bring along a snack.
To breeze along, lighten your load.

Following walks has been rescheduled (updated via blog dd 29Aug19) —
October**<\/strong> — Saturday, 05Oct (1st Saturday). Likely a morning walk, break for lunch and continue… total approx 6-7hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
