       This is the LAST WALK for this year!<\/p>\n

Date<\/strong> : 10 Dec 2011 (Saturday)<\/p>\n

Start TIME<\/strong>:  4.20pm  SHARP!<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Meet Place<\/strong> : Dakota MRT (CC8), Exit A  ie., opp Exit B!  (I recalled at Exit B, you see the control station) From Exit A, go up escalator to ground level.  Let’s gather around the grass patch. <\/font><\/strong>
On arrival, do use the toilet facilities as non will be available till more than an hour later, at BayEAST.<\/p>\n

Getting there<\/strong>:
1)  MRT – Circle Line, Dakota Station CC8
By bus, alight either at Blk 99 or opp Blk 62, along Old Airport Road
Bus Svc#s: 10, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33.<\/p>\n

Leaders<\/strong>:  ChristinaCL Chan and Lydia Soh.<\/p>\n

This evening the stroll begins along the Geylang River towards Tanjong Rhu Promenade where lovely
condos dots the river bank along the Kallang Basin; one might see some water sports eg., dragon boat
and kayaking.<\/p>\n

As we approach the Promenade, we can see the Kallang Leisure Park shopping centre on the opposite
bank.  After sights of lush condos estate, IF the weather permits, will add a twist to this walk with an
"itsy bitsy teeny weeny" flavour!  ahem,,, what are you thinking??  Come and you shall find out…  \"emoticon\"<\/p>\n

After this, another of nature’s beauty to behold!  Bay EAST —
the 1st of the S$1-billion Gardens by the Bay!<\/p>\n

Bay EAST was an interim park in support of YOG2010 (Youth Olympics) .  In October 2011, this relatively
NEW park is opened to the public to enjoy.  For now, it offers basic facilities but future development is
expected at a later stage.  
(Look for the infrastructure and interpretative signage showing the water sustainability story within the
interim garden).<\/p>\n

The 32 hectares linear park, stretches along Marina Reservoir — offers a panoramic view of the overall
Marina Bay skyline (with Marina Bay Financial District and Supertrees at Bay South,  Marina Bay Sands,
Marina Reservoir, Marina Barage, Singapore Flyer and F1 Pitt Building as backdrop)… from a distance,,,  <\/p>\n

The unobstructed views are superb, a feast for your eyes,,,snap away! with your cameras.   \"emoticon\"
Breathe in! expand your lungs with fresh air.<\/p>\n

Now that our eyes and lungs are filled, let’s head back towards the Promenade, cross a suspension
bridge to Kallang Leisure Park to nurse our growling tummies.<\/p>\n
