The 12th<\/sup> and final month of the year in our modern-day Gregorian Calendar. However, did you know it was originally the 10th<\/sup> month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC. Hence, December<\/strong> comes from the Latin word decem, meaning \u201cten\u201d.\u00a0 Later, the months of January and February were created out of the monthless period and added to the beginning of the calendar, but December retained its name.<\/p>\n

Born in December are considered special, according to science. They are either Sagittarius<\/strong> or Capricorn<\/strong>. Sagittarians are known to be extremely generous, idealistic, and downright hilarious.<\/p>\n
