Douglas is busy most weekend this month, hence our scheduled ‘Ubin Cycling’ is tentatively push back to 29 Sep. Meanwhile, Ivan will be leading an impromptu cycling this Sat.<\/p>\n
Please note details of Impromtu Cycling Event as follows:<\/span> <\/p>\n Carparks: For those driving, please park your car at the Ponggol Park itself (limited lots) or at Blk 401 \/ 452 \/ 458 HDB Carparks (parking charges applies). <\/p>\n Timings as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n And the route shall be:<\/strong> <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n Starting Point – Ponggol Park Bicycle Rental Kiosk – <\/font>– <\/font><\/span>to Sungei Serangoon PC <\/span>– – to Punggol Promenade Riverside Walk – <\/span>– to Lor Halus Wetland – – to Pasir Ris Farmway – – <\/span>to Pasir Ris Ind Dr 1 – – <\/span>to Pasir Ris Dr 12\/3 – <\/span>– to Loyang Ave<\/span><\/font> Terrain: Mainly PCN, Pavements and some parts on roads (cross of Traffic Junctions too) are unavoidable.<\/strong><\/p>\n Total Distance: About 32 KM (Not for Beginners or Newies).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n See route map here: <\/span>http:\/\/sg.mapometer.com\/cycling\/route_2239679.html<\/a><\/span><\/u><\/p>\n <\/span>NOTE 1: Since it will be night-fall on our return route, please have functioning front and rear lights (plus Bell)<\/u><\/strong> mounted on your bikes (including the rental bikes!!).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n NOTE 2: Safety and well-being is your own responsibility and nobody’s else.
