{"id":627,"date":"2007-04-02T23:15:58","date_gmt":"2007-04-02T15:15:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silverhairsclub.com\/?p=627"},"modified":"2007-04-03T16:48:26","modified_gmt":"2007-04-03T08:48:26","slug":"monthly-walk-april-07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silverhairsclub.com\/?p=627","title":{"rendered":"MONTHLY WALK &#8211; APRIL 07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Date: <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">14<sup>th<\/sup> April 2007<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\"> (Saturday)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Walking Trial: <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Ulu<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\"> <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Pandan<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\"> <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Park<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\"> Connector <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Start Time:&nbsp; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">4.30pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Meeting point: <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Ghim Moh Block 12A <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Getting there:&nbsp; <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">by MRT &ndash; <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Buona Vista MRT Station: pass Control station, straight down the next escalator.&nbsp; Then turn left walk thro&rsquo; the tunnel, it is sheltered all the way to Ghim Moh Block 12A.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">by Bus<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\"> &ndash; Bus service nos. 92, 100 &amp; 111.&nbsp; After the bus turns into Ghim Moh, alight immediately, walk against traffic flow and Block 12A is on the opposite&nbsp;side.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Introduction: The Park Connector Network is an island-wide network of linear open spaces that link up major parks, nature sites and housing estates in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">Singapore<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">. When the entire network is completed, it will form a green network, spanning over 300 km across the whole island, making it convenient to travel from park to park.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial\">For this month, we have selected one of the park connectors ie., the Ulu Pandan Park Connector.&nbsp; It is about 9 km long.
