Parliament dissolved; Singaporeans to vote in General Election on Sep 11

SilverHairsClub is a social club; and politics is one of the taboos which is not allowed into discussion in SilverHairsClub.com.  Very soon, Singaporeans will vote in a General Election on Sept 11, 2015.  This is an important day for Singaporeans.

This time, I have decided to open politics for discussion in fast moving social media on Whatsapp GE 2015.  Whatsapp discussion will be open from 26 Aug 2015 and will carry on till 13 Sep 2015.  Please feel free to add your personal comments, comment on all/any of the paarties.  Please do not name call any person.  No not spread rumours. And do not attack any members who participate in this Whatsapp chat.

This whatsapp chat is called GE 2015.  To participate, simply whatsapp to Terence Seah at +65 9489 4360.   And feel free to exit anytime.

  2. 50+ members have so far joined Whatsapp GE 2015. Probably, one of the most active SHC Whatsapp chat; starting from early morning to late at night. Participants get to understand one another better, whether they are pro, neutral or opp.

It is interesting to hear and participate in chats on how members feel about government policies, views on CPF, hot topics on salaries, HDB, foreign talents and choosing the right MP to represent them in their constituency. A great way to see all the different sides of the field.

If you like to join Whatsapp GE 2015, simply whatsapp to +65 9489 4360. Calls wont be picked up.

  3. Now that the elections are over, I would close the whatsapps GE 2015 chat tomorrow. We had not had such a chat before, the chats were vigorous, in many cases, the words were fierce and unrelenting. Everybody had their own views. But, now that voting results are done and completed; we have to move on with what Singaporeans have opt for. I guess we need time to reflect too.

As SHC does not permit politics on the website, we shall also stop here. Whatsapp was an exciting discussion media.

Now, let’s move on with club activities.
