    1. Hi June

At Ubin yesterday, Lin and I discussed this and we are going.

Just wondering if these are options that we can vote on :-

      1) 3d/2n Colmar (the original idea)

      2) 3d/2n Colmar/KL

      Joy

    2. Good morning Joy…..no option here, we are going for the package Colmar/KL pls. Before I put up the post, I had gotten the thumbs up for the package frm Lily, YewKwong and Andrew.

Good morning Dan….yes, same price for twin and triple sharing. Guess to make it cheaper, MaxPac will hve a even smaller profit margin. However, MaxPac is willing to cut down the $238 per pax if we can get 60 pax. But my mini “committee” thinks ideal would be 1 busload :-)))

Hi Andrew…this time round wuld be just the names of those confirmed joining this trip and their email addresses. Also good to indicate who will be single, twin sharing, triple sharing, or leaving to June to match a partner for them. But this is a small matter, we can always address this via emails later. For now, most imptly is the list of names of those CONFIRMED GOING and their email addresses. No need to take in names of those who are asking questions or giving comments. I will try to address those questions/comments. Thanks much Andrew.

    10. Dear Andrew…..u missed out 1 very impt name leh :-))) It was bec of her that I put my hand up to organise this. Pls could you add her name in…thanks :-))

How do I add the names to the main posting? :-)

    11. Dear LyePeng,
      – thanks for the info. Will go after dinner. Prefer to eat at food street near Federal. Plenty of cheap and good local food.

      Dear Andrew,
      – there’s no need to list the names here. Just email it to June for posting.

      Dear June,
      – you might want to edit your post into point form for clarity. Just a suggestion :) Cheers to all your hard work.

      Dear Ladies,
      – Federal is a bit run down but conveniently located for shopping and eating. If time permits, it’s worth going to the beauty saloons for the full course (hair, manicure & pedicure). They are good and at half S’pore’s price.

    12. Dear June

Have added the names to the main post and done a bit of editing as a start for you to continue. Hope this will help. Let me know if you need me to do more.

      At your service, …..

    13. Hi June,
Have pass to Nor the brochures from Five Stars.
Understand they have 2/3/4 bedrms apartment style accom. In this case can accomodate 4/6/8 person to an apartment. Some of them may want to stay together and have fun lor. Just sharing some info.
      Tks
      Molly

    14. Lily,

Actually I want to call you to confirm first. But I was out on around 5:00 pm and return on around 10:00 pm. So missing your name in my comment #15. Sorry. Ok, I’ll e-mail the new registered to June.

    15. Thnks Molly, the brochures came a little late :-)…perhaps we will do the apartment sharing another time..for now we will stick with the MaxPac package pls. Thnks.

    16. Dear Andrew,

I tried and failed to e-mail you using your hotmail address.

I just wish to confirm that my partner Chua Beng Choo and I will twin-share a room. You may e-mail me at foosungbay@yahoo.com.sg

Really appreciate it very much for both June and You for the effort made and time spent for organising.

    17. Mei Foo

Thanks for your reply, but don’t know why you cannot email me?!

I’ve already registered you and Chua Beng Choo in the trip and put you both to twin-share a room

Furthermore, is that I can also use your e-mail address to contact Chua Beng Choo?

    18. Hi folks…another 9 more pax to meet the 30 min to go for the Colmar/KL trip.

Hi Norlinda, AnneTo, Rene, Melissa Khng, Marg…u hve choped earlier….pls could u confirm if you are coming pls.

Hi the small grup who is thinking of driving up via your car….hope that we can get 9 more otherwise u would hve to consider joining the bus.

Hi Dolly…think u should take a break in Nov :-) Come join us? (I hope u get to read this as I think u are now on working trip in China).

Hi guys out there…wanna take a break in Nov? Tim? Ronald, the roller bladder in East Coast? Ronald, the one who came along to Zouk? EdwinChen, hven’t seen you but read a lot of your comments in the web? Other guys? And dear Terence of course?
      We need Popeyes!! :-))

    19. So happy that you still think of me years after 1988.

With 9 minutes to go, Venus is leading Mars 18-3, and it’s unlikely to hope for an upset altho, ironically, the score might upset Venus emotionally.

Thanks June but kiddy has yet to confirm whether her Final exam will be over by then altho it’s over after 12 pm 2day for the penultimate and we can – the 2 of us – leave this Friday. Ai mai?

Pending my confirmation by latest mid next week, it has to be a first-come-first-served so if all seats are filled by then I wont sit but head for the beds straightaway and lay waiting for you all at Colmar & Federal, in brief.

    20. Aye aye, M’am, will definitely reply by next week if i dont expire by then.

(Incidentally, still vivid with the sight shown on tv last nite, when 1 oldie looked incredulously into the coffin where another oldie lay, as if to ask, jin si or gay si??).

Dunno how it feels to twin-share a room with a gal hor? Maybe this will help tilt the balance………………….

    21. Hi June Lim,

I would love to join you folks but I have a rather rigid church schedule to follow. Sorry, maybe next time round! Have fun!

      Regards,
      Edwin Chen

    22. Eversince u came on board, I very much wanted to see who this Edwin Chen is:-)) That Nov weekend u come and spread God’s words to us lah….I jus make sure I bring cotton balls and band to cover Terence ears and eyes ie if he is there :-))))))

    23. HI

I have registered to go but I realise that I have no partner to share room with. Any ladies willingly to tap along with this auntie……….. I dont mind if more cos I dont sleep………..

    24. Hi Michelle, there are several without partners….once all the names are in, I will partner u off with someone. I am without a partner too. We 2 aunties can keep each other company :-))….We will see how later.

    25. Dear June Lim,

Sad to say, I am no preacher man, although I did finished two semesters in theology. I sought shelter during a torrid storm and found a piano in the church .. now here I am. Certainly, if I tagged along, I would find your company and friends thoroughly enjoyable!

      Aloha, Edwin Chen

    26. June, wrong on 2 counts.

First, Terence needs no balls, cotton, meat or whatever. Like not a homo but a bomoh, once he grunts his commands, his little crawlies will all take up their positions in his ears, and even you shout politics, religion, sex thru a loud hailer, he cant hear.

Second, aunties shd match with uncles – heard of like poles repel? I am ready to be matched by you with you

(tim, zip up till you can say yes & I do to June)

    27. Joy,

Please let me answer for June since she’s in the washroom.

Coaches from spore are required to take the 2nd link into msia, and will take abt 1.5 hours after 7 a.m. departure to clear both immigrations.

The coach will stop for a 1/2-3/4 hour break at Yong Peng where there’s a foodcourt and shops selling local tidbits, and probably another short stop at a petrol station for all to stretch & ease ourselves.

Here, I am talking abt the usual loose package tours. Of cos, we cd ask for a few more stopovers at scenic rest stations along the NS H’way.

We shd reach Colmar by no more than an hour after noon.

And I believe the travelling time Colmar-Federal Hotel (Bt Bintang) is abt 1.5 hours.

June is flushing the loo now so shd be out soon to take over. Stay tuned……..

    28. Hi June

Ronlai here whether the same Ronald you were talking about at Zouk. Anyway I have aired to you earlier as regards to your impending trip to Colmar. I have just made a trip to KL/GENTING/IPOH/MALACCA two months ago with 12 of my Botanic Garden group in a Mini-bus. So much so I would like to go to Colmar, as I have never been there, and heard its a nice place, but would prefer to stay in Colmar two full days, to enjoy the cool mountain air, especially end of the year, minus KL. Since you have decided the trip to be Colmar and KL, carry on and enjoy, maybe I will be arranging at a later date, a free and easy trip.

      CHEERS

      Ronlai

    29. Hi Joy…u satisfied with Tim’s reply :-)) Yes, there will definitely be stops along the way.

      Thanks Tim.

Hi RonLai…if you make the trip in Nov, that will be 6 mths from your last visit to KL/GENTING/IPOH/MALACCA:-))) In fact, I wanted 3ds 2 nites in Colmar. But frens and even travel agensts tell me that it is boring unless one plays golf or on honeymoon there. The recommendation was 1 day 1 nite should be sufficient. Hence the arrangement as in the post. Come lah! I need Popeyes. :-)))

    30. Oui, June, where hv you been btwn 8.53 pm on 23 aug and 9.39 a.m. 24 aug? Busy with Ron for his airing or what (heee, did he also gas?).

I had the bed all to myself………….shiok !

    31. Hi…need 7 more members to join in in order to confirm this trip. Hope this weekend, more members will visit the website and see my post and reply …hey June put my name in pls….:-)))
      Helloooooh…Popeyes and Olives out there!!

    32. yes yes…I need min 30 pax to confirm the trip :-)))))

frankly lately there are so many posts, new members, workshops etc etc …can’t catch up :-))

    33. June / Andrew, – Post updated.

June, – don’t worry about the number. Give it one more week, then set the closing date and start collecting payment. Package or no-package, we already have enough people to go.

    34. Hi, will add u in. Could u pls give your email address to Andrew…his email address is in comment 5 above.

There may be more coming in, so I will pair u up with the nxt lady who opts in. Should there be none, then u can triple share with Lily and myself…Is that OK pls?

    35. Marg

Already registered you in our trip. There should not be any problem for your room-mate.

June already give you a suggestion. If you don’t like, then you can share with June, and I share with Lily.

Lily, sorry, just joking, ha ha.

      Welcome on board

    36. Welcome Eleanor, welcome to the trip

Already registered you with a single room. Don’t afraid of the darkness and the stories of our good old friends?

    37. Hi Eleanor…not too sure abt the temp but think Bukit Tinggi where Colmar is, is lower than Genting Highlands. So don’t think it is that cold unless it rains.
This Nov will be my first trip to Colmar :-)

Happy u are joining in. Hope all of us who are going in Nov, wll hve a enjoyable time :-))

Andrew…u don’t b like dat lah. I would want to sleep alone too but was thinking the extra S$100 whn converted to MR can buy me some things :-))
Lily….btw my husband says I snore very loudly :-))) u still hve time to change roommate :-))

    38. Thanks for the temp info, Tim. Should be very summery in the day then.

June, wonder if the program includes a visit to the Japanese village at Colmar? Would be interesting to watch a Jap tea ceremony or try out the onsen (outdoor hot bath). Colmar Tropicale seems to have so much to offer!

    39. Hi Eleanor,,that’s what I thot too, lots to see and do in Colmar therefore wanted to go there 3days/2 nites. But couple of frens and even travel agents tell me tht only the hotel is attractive bec it looks like a castle. The Jap garden, rabbit farm, botanical garden are small areas which can be covered in no time.
Anyway, let’s find out for ourselves this Nov :-))

    40. Hi Eleanor, are you the Eleanor who did dancing at Siglap? Or was it Marine Parade?
Btw, I think the Jap tea ceremony isn’t always available. They usually have it for big tour groups. What onsen? There isn’t any. If you want to stay in one of the lovely Jap style “apartments” you have to pay through your nose. Prices are around 4 figures.
Anyway, just the landscaping, atmosphere and cool temperature alone should be enjoyable and relaxing, so go and have a relaxing time.

    41. Sorry to disappoint you Mary but I’m not the Eleanor that danced at Siglap or Marine Parade. My bag of old bones may not be able to take those swings now!

Yes, I like dipping in hot springs. It’s so therapeutic to soak in a hot sulphuric bath and then have a good night sleep.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend with all of you. I believe MaxPac is not serious on the “site-seeing” item in our program. If so, then we’ll have to bring along our boots!!
