  1. Hi Malcolm. Will u be there?

I’m intending to go in the afternoon, and watch the drama.. then go for dinner & come back for the evening concerts. The afternoon drama should be nice, and all drama enthusiasts .. don’t miss this event!

Anyone out there, want to join me?

    Cheers!

  2. Unfortunately in view of some early commitments, my time is relatively uncertain therefore, will attend if possible.
Anyway, perhaps you may want to coordinate……….????

  3. It was a very entertaining performance by William David. He also cracked some jokes along the way. I was a bit disappointed that he sang only 4 Elvis songs as I thought he was the ‘Elvis’ of Singapore! Btw, I thought there was another guy, also an Indian, by the name of ‘Wilson David’ who was also recognised as the ‘Elvis’ of Spore which I found also on google. So, who is the real ‘Elvis’?

  4. Sorry Terence, it slipped me because I wasn’t able to moderate when it first appeared as I was not in SG and had no wi fi access. By the time, I had wi fi access, there were already 3 comments hence not ‘nice’ to trash it.

    1. The SHC ordinary membership is free to join. All members are reminded that advertising and promotion of external companies and names are not permitted. Please refer to Admin, if in doubt.

Corporate membership is no longer free.

  5. Terence,
I disagree with you here. Malcolm is very kind here to share with fellow member on some good lobang. Except for mentioning the names of the performers no money is exchanged. How could you justify that this is advertisement.

    1. Hi Dan,
It’s ok to disagree with Club policies. Your comment is noted. I don’t see us change this policy for many years to come.

  6. Hi Terence

I fully agreed with Dan . Malcolm is only sharing with us and not selling tickets n no $$ mention here.

    1. Hi Karen,

Yes, I am glad you raise this issue and support Dan. When a member tries to put up a Post or a comment, and is not attending that event, it is advertising.

If a member organises an event, either as an EO, yes, a fair amount of promotion is allowed.

All advertisement must be cleared by Admin. The owner of the website SilverHairsClub.com is SilverHairs Enterprise Pte Ltd. And SHE does not allow free advertising on its website, except under the T&C of the online Fleamart or Corporate membership.

There may be some grey areas, but in doubt, the member can write to admin@SilverHairsClub.com.

  7. Hi Karen

Just want to clarify on my posting for Esplanade.

We are working in collaboration with Esplanade to distribute our newly designed flyer at certain events.

All my postings for them have been approved by Terence. Am doing my media contact role for the club.

Hope this gives a clearer picture to all.

  8. Geraldine,
If you have said it in the first place, there’s no need for the explanation now. This is one of the principles of “openness”. BTW, how is the new flyer looks like.
Q: Can a corporate member (of SHC) “advertise” in a post without a cost since the first payment is made being a corporate member or is he restricted to only advertise his product and/or services relating to his company, without additional costs?
    Hewlee

    1. Hi Hew Lee,

As a Corporate member, he/she can promote his company services and products. Corporate members can organise activities for members under their corporate umbrella too. SilverHairsClub has offered free corporate membership to members but there were few takers. Free Corporate membership is no longer available. Members who wish to be a Corporate members can write to Admin@SilverHairsClub.com.

Let me know if something comes to your mind.
