Terence, a couple of hours ago I posted desperately for volunteers for nect week event. That’s the reason why I put my email address in the blog. If it is not allowed the moderator should simply delete it.
By the way, how many have you gathered for the Bangkok Trip in early March? My wife and I have booked our seats to Bangkok on 27th Feb. If we are early we can move around by ourselves. By the way I have been offered at 68% discount at 4* Ambassador Hotel, Soi 11 Wattana at Sukhumvit Road. Is this Hotel located at a convenient location? Your early advice will be much appreciated. Just want to be kaypoh… Sukhumvit is a very busy, traffic snarled road; although your hotel may be near to the Skytrain, there is really nothing attractive about the lucation. The Ambassador is near the Nana and Soi Cowboy red-light areas; granted there is some shopping and great street food further up the Suk with many new condo developments.
Personally I would stay at the Siam Central Shopping area: the Pathumwan Princess, Siam@Siam, Vista are lux choice, new budgets like Ibis Siam, Holiday Inn Express and cheaper choices like Reno and Lub’D Siam all give easy access to the Skytrain, buses, shops, food, and just next to Mah Boon Krong (MBK) seven floors of shopping…what more could a Singaporean want?!
Sorry… It should be VIE Hotel Bangkok. All the hotels are located next to BTS Skytrain National Stadium station and also across the road to Mah Boon Krong.
These are my personal choices and you have to decide what factors are important to you… Try them for a start!

And re the diary, I am looking for a free one, as someone may have one lying around the office.

Terence. I have a book diary which you can have but I don’t know how to pass it to you. At my age I hardly have any appointments, only 5 each day, one to sit on the toilet bowl and 4 to stand over it. I don’t need any diary for that.
