Latest radar investigation has shifted from the seas around South East Asia to the Andaman Sea and now the vast Indian Ocean. No traces of debris from the jetliner. It’s more than a week, and satellites from the US and China are still combing their images. Ships, destroyers, helicopters, planes are all deployed and countries around the world have offered to help.
How can such a modern jetliner disappear from radar screens, without a trace of where it was heading to? Let’s give ourselves sometime to discuss this occurrence, something that has happened so shockingly in our lifetime.

It is strange that a big plane flying with 200+ people onboard can suddenly disappear without a trace.
“Apparently there is nothing that cannot happen today” – Mark Twain. How true!
Looking at the anguish of relatives of those onboard, I sincerely hope the plane has been highjacked to a secret destination and that all onboard are safe. If there is foul play, it seems to me, life is now fraught with unexpected dangers and if family members can live safely to old age, it’s a great blessing.
Let’s hope we will hear news of the missing MH370 very soon. Fasten search and bring light and closure to this incident. No matter what the outcome, we hope blessings will be with the affected families and comfort fill their nights from exhausting days of wait….
After US revealed that after the plane disappeared from the radar screen, it
continued to fly for another four hours at least. This could mean that the plane continued its journey to the Indian Ocean and beyond.
Now the Malaysian government has not ruled out that the diversion was done deliberately by personnel who knew how to operate the 777-200.
This has led to the possibility that the plane was hijacked and steered to an
unknown location probably somewhere between middle east and India. For what purposes? The passengers could be held as hostages for ransom or they want the plane for other use. These are only speculations.
Another scenario could be that the plane had crashed into the sea and buried by mud in the seabed. This would be disastrous as the wreckage would be difficult to locate. An Air France airliner crashed into the Atlantic Ocean and the wreckage was found nearly two years later.
Dear all
I hope the link below works… perhaps, some of you may have seen the short movie:

Hope this movie helps us get a better perspective of life…
Happy viewing.
To be honest, when I get into the plane, I leave my life in the hands of the pilot, the co-pilot, and the engineers and our creator. Multiply a few fights a week, I rather take a 2 – 5 hour nap. Hopefully, when I wake up, I am fresh.
I have spoken with many of my other friends on the jetliner’s disappearance, and while we all have ideas and comments, the situation is out of our hands.

You started this thread… Now you say it’s out of our hands!
MH370 is the top news and hot conversation topic now. Everyday brings a new startling revelation with all it’s theories and speculation. It’s even better than a James Bond movie with Sean Connery, not Daniel Craig.
My personal theory is that the plane, if not crashed into the sea, has landed in Somalia, one of the ‘tans: Tadjik, Kadzak, Uzbek, Turkmen, or Xinjiang province!
Let’s have more SHCs come up with their ideas… inspired or preposterous!
two theories that I heard from former fighter jet pilots who later flew commercial planes
it sounds farfetched but remotely possible. For verbal discussion yes.
Hi Gabriella,
Thank you for the short movie clip – very inspiring.

Hi Winnie
You’re welcome. Glad that you like it.
Have a lovely day!
Early this afternoon, I read a tweets from the daughter whose father was in MH370.
Ist tweet: “I just don’t know what to say about it. God loves you more, daddy God loves them more.
2nd: “I don’t know what to say, what to think I feel so lost, so blank I’m just so tired. Goodnight, daddy”
3rd: “I will never forget the looked on his face when he opened his birthday present the other day. He was so happy”
It was not easy for families and relatives reading and listening to those 24-hour cable reporting the unknowable especially those speculation through imagination which is not an effective tool for deciding what is true.
From this tragedy I have learn to value those analyst, ‘experts’ and those who display the following traits in their views:
1. Those that emphasized the unknowable, the contradictory of “evidence” and the tentative assumption on what could and what not have happen.
2. Help us laymen to separate the possible but unconfirmed wild improbabilities.
Those tweets touches me. My heartfelt sympathy to those families who have to go through the many theories and speculation.
Personal speculation or analysis of an event is subjective and is based on his
perceptions, views and scarce evidence available at that point of time. It may due to his imagination. Nevertheless it is only one of many points of views and
may be far from the truth.
However, in all investigations of all mishaps and crimes, the investigators must
have an open mind, cannot have preconceived ideas and must not rule out any other possibility regardless how remote it may be or seemingly preposterous.
In the MH370 disaster, about 8 days ago when it was reported that the plane instead of flying north to Beijing, it was diverted deliberately to the west towards the Indian Ocean. But at that point of time, the searches were still concentrated at South China Sea. This was due to the exclusion of other possibilities.
Now the Malaysian PM had officially announced that the ill-fated plane crashed into the Indian Ocean. It is not conclusive but a close possibility.
If the wreckage is not found, the truth may never be known.

Different lives on the same craft travelled,
To a common destination heading –
Ships passing through the night.
Alas! They were not to be.
Their fate mysteriously at the death point converged –no farther,
And all perished together.
The Scythe came prematurely;
The agonizing screams of the bereft the room rended-
A sword had pierced through their hearts.
Why their beloved? Why? Why?
There was no answer;
What then for closure?
