Gladys Tan – Profile

Hi Hi All

I came to know of this club only a few weeks ago, thru a friend.  After hearing and reading all about your activities, I have decided to join and sign up for the cycling trip to Penggerang on April 12.

It really took me quite a while to figure out how to sign up for the trip.  Thanks to Terence for his guidance.

I am more of a outdoor person though sometimes love to laze around in the house (hei hei emoticon). I am still working full time in a land surveying firm.

My interests are cycling(not pro), walks, travelling cum trekking (moderate ok, strenuous no no) and badminton. So badminton kakis out there, when will be the next session, hope to meet up with you all and also meeting up with the rest, SHCians.

Cheers…..

  1. Gladys, as far as I am awared, the quoto of 20 cyclists travelling to Tg Pengarang in 2 boats is met which means that you might hv to take the 3rd boat with the tongkang ali by yourself.

However, perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime exception can be made for you by Douglas if you, a professional surveyor, will survey the place/route and file a report before 12/04.

With yr report, the cyclists will hv more than an inkling what not to expect and therefore wont over prepare themselves.

Having earned yr karma, they might squeeze you into 1 of the boats.

  2. Not bad not bad. Gladys you wont be alone with tongkang ali skippering the boat and tunsri kestari swimming along…….

Seriously, I think the turn-out may be better than 2 boat-loads of 10 each so you shd put yr name up at least on the wait-list.

The cycling there can be fun and rewarding as everyone will be wearing kim singh’s donald duck embossed turbuns.

  3. Hi Gladys,

Welcome, our badminton for info is always on sundays at Civil service (CSC Tessensohn Road) club on Sundays from 11 to 1 or 2 pm, usually, but wait for DanH postings or read the badminton’s forum.

About the Pengarand, i guess be ready to lose more calories than gaining more cholesterol after all the 38Km of cycling, sweat, fat buring and allaying all fears.
