Roy Koh – Profile

Hi everybody

I just come to know about this club from an article in the ST. and feel that it is a good  idea to come together to engage in some healthy activities.  Just a brief introduction of myself. I retired in Jan 2005 after almost 40 years in the teaching service. To keep myself mentally active, I give tuition classes at CDAC centres and some private tuition in secondary school maths.

My interests are mainly travelling, food, and light exercises to keep fit. My wife has also joined the club. She will be retiring in 2 weeks’ time. We have 2 grown-up sons one of whom is married and living on their own. We feel this is the time for us to sit back and relax, enjoy life and making new friends of similar interests.

We hope to meet many friends in the club and look forward to the coming get together in Oct. In the meantime have a good week ahead.

Cheers

Regards

Roy Koh (Tong Seng)

  2. Roy Koh,
Welcome to SHC. Ah, another teacher and one who teaches at CDAC . I do that twice a week, in English. Is your wife a teacher too?
Hope to meet up with you both when I return in September.
Have fun with the activities and making friends. :-)

  3. Hi Roy

Welcome to the club, this is the place where you will definitely make new and more friends, especially with similar interest, will have no problem. For a start you can always join us in the August events at EAST COAST PARKWAY camping and early morning breadfast, or the HEART ROCK CONCERT at the Marina Bay Floating Stage, if not you can always join the CYCLING GROUP, for a good exercise.

  4. Hi Roy, I guess you did not get my reply on 10 Aug. Here it is again:

    Dear Roy and Lillian,
Yes,it is a good idea to travel in fours if we go F&E. Also an exchange of traveling ideas and how we make the arrangements will be useful. Two Aprils ago we used a China agency to arrange a 3–week tour of Yunnan for two of us with a guide and a driver. It was a good tour. Can be more interesting if there is another couple traveling together. We went from Kunming right up to the Tibetan border and back.

Like to know a little more about your Vietnam tour in Oct. A guided tour?

    Warm regards,
    Mingchoo and JunHan
