All SilverHairsClub members are more than 45 years, and we remembered Singapore since our independence day.
Today, our country has prospered; our kids have grown up and many of us are either nearing our retirement or have retired’
Every National Day, we bring back memories of National Day Parades, fireworks, the Padang and now Marina Bay. Today, we have songs to energise our younger generation and draw Singaporeans together.
Let’s wish Singapore “Happy Birthday”. Share your thoughts of your past \national Days and what you will be doing this National Day.

51 and growing stronger;
Roots sinking deeper and longer.
Greener the housing estates, lo!
Waterways with otters cleanly flow.
Nascent cycling culture nurturing;
Light- car future aspiring.
Digging deeper, wider spreading,
More train lines, greater accessibility adding.
The breakdowns, the hiccups, we take in our stride;
We are just grateful for the public ride.
The poor, the elderly and the handicapped,
All are remembered and helped.
Though abroad to work or to roam,
We are always so happy to come HOME!
