Hi ! SHCcian, I am Judy Lim & work as an full time Accounts/Admin staff in Logistics Company located in Changi Airfreight Center. Although I am not really a good singer/dancer yet this two activities are still my first choice of hobby. Beside that I also enjoy travelling. I was attracted by the name of ‘SILVER HAIR CLUB" thru the website & wondering what is the Association or Member club. After reading the forum, I would like to thank the founder - Mr Terence Seah to found the club to gather & brighten those in their 45 & above heart & social life. After my first attendance at the Bali Lane on 15 Mar 08, I noted the members are quite knowledgeable/friendly & looking forward to my 2nd gathering in D/D which in coming Sat. Lastly, I feel glads to join as a SHC member & proud that all of us 45 years old & above are still healthy & strong in our body to achieve senior citizen’s life. Cheer!!! Judy

  1. Thank you Judy for organising this event.

We are very lucky to have our eyes; and we can do our part to encourage those who are unfortunate to see the world. Judy has organised a great menu too; do join the group and meet up with fellow member friends.

  7. Dear All,

Thank you all for taking your time to attend the special Dining in the Dark lunch at the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH). I find this is a unique experience and I’m sure all of you have four senses dining in a totally dark room without your eyes guiding you. Everything is done by touch and dining on a 3 course meal plus ending with hot coffee was a challenge for us. The meal was served by visually impaired waiters who did a good job in taking care of us with some messing up the table with our food.
We went away feeling how blessed we are being born normal and taking our eyesight for granted.
I strongly encourage member to organise your own trip not only support the meaningful event but also an open eyes experience how the Visually Handicapped peoples goes through on the daily basis.

    Cheers

    Judy

  8. hi Judy

thanks for org this interesting event.

to me n most of them – it is really a life time experience for all – i don know what to expect when i sign in for this event. but the simple lunch in the total darkness room really make me learn a simple lesson – be contended what u have n DON complaint , if u think u are in bad situation of worst part of your life like what i m now , i think for someone who live in total darkness is 100 times worst than anyone. i was almost in tear when i was having my lunch or even when they do the briefing. we this blind date taught us a v good lesson and at the same time we give full support n confident to the vision hancapped person and theassoiation too.

thanks judy for the hard work
