Dolly Lim takes over the role of Club Manager wef 1 Apr 2011

Dolly has accepted the role of Club Manager, and will continue so until Jan 2012.

The key role is to manage the social activities of SHC; with a focus on the SHC monthly gatherings.  Members with an interest to run any monthly gathering, should discuss directly with Dolly.

As always, Event Organisers and Event Cordinators should continue to feel free to organise activities of their choice and interest.  All subject to club rules.

For issues regarding your userid and user password to the SilverHairsClub.com, please refer directly to Yew Kwong, SHC website administrator.  Club membership approval will continue to be handled by me.

SilverHairsClub does not have a management committee.  For any event, the person responsible for the activity will be the EO or the Event Cordinator.  This system has worked well, and we will continue so for the future.

Welcome Dolly.

  2. Congratulations Dolly.

  3. Dolly starts her second term with SHC wef 1 April 2011. Perhaps, it would be nice if Dolly can give us an idea as to how she sees herself as the Club Manager, and what kind of ideas she has re the SHC monthly gatherings.

As long as we stay outside the club taboos, Dolly will have a free hand on setting the tone for social or charity events. In case, members may be wondering why I have chosen Dolly as the CM. Well, here are her good points. She dares, and she has always raised her hand. She has SHC’s interests at heart. Dolly has shown she is committed to what she has agreed to do.

Dolly is noisy. And, she is a tough coconut. If we watch the program “Nooze”, then we will understand where Dolly learns her Hokkien-English from. She likes Dancing and charity activities. We can look forward to a great year ahead, with Dolly as the CM.

And, again, if you feel you should be the next Club Manager, stay in the light, raise your hands, and I shall let you know in Jan 2012. Have fun.

  7. Welcome back Dolly,

Will look forward to more exciting events to come I’m sure. Have been kept very busy at work and now with Robert’s passing, has made me realized that I need to work less and spend more time with friends. Congrats and stay cheerful as always! Best wishes, Lisa O

  8. Most members know who Dolly Lim is. She is probably one of the most prominent persons in the club. She can be seen on the 3rd photograph on the left. Dolly is SHC’s Club manager. If you like to be an Event Organiser, feel free to speak with her.

The guy next to Dolly is Sam Goh. also quite prominent. He speaks and writes English.

And, the guy on Sam’s right is Thomas Loh. He is well remembered for successfully co-compering “Stars-in-Concert” and “Shanghai night”.

Do watch out for them in coming events.

  10. As we are coming to the end of the year, it is time again to look at someone for the role of Club Manager. Dolly’s role will continue until January 2012.

Todate, no one has raised his/her hand to take up this role. Do you have a suggestion on how to find someone for this role?

  11. Dolly Lim has been our club manager; and this time, she will retire from the role end Jan 2012. I like to express thanks to Dolly for taking up this role.

I am still looking for a new Club Manager, to start effective 1 Feb 2012. Hope someone will raise her/his hand.

In the meantime, the role will be supported by me, until such a time, as a new person takes over. Do give it a try.

Let’s thank Dolly for this role. Thank you.
