Yew Kwong steps down as Web Admin manager wef 31 May 2011

Yew Kwong has been SHC Web Admin manager for more than two years.  He has done a great job managing the website, tracking forum membership and spotting irregular occurences.  His term was supposed to have ended  31 Dec 2010.

Unfortunately, I have not done a good job trying to keep him on this role.  He has been busy of late, and wont be able to spend the time servicing our needs.  As such, let’s thank him for all the work, effort and time (usually late in the night) he has given us.

Wef 1 June 2011, I shall resume all the tasks of the Web Admin manager.  I am likely to look for someone to take this role sometime next year.

Thank you again Yew Kwong.

  1. TaiLo Yew Kwong

Thank you for your hard work in IT Admin during the past months. Wishing you success in all your future endeavour and hope to see you soon in some SHC events.

  2. Yew Kwong, I dont know what you did as the Admin/IT Manager but with the desired results felt by me, if not all, what you did there was no small matter.

Astutely, you dealt with requests from some SHCians which were out of this world. You diligently watched over this site to keep scams & phishings away, be and be seen as fair to all. The demands on you had been enormous. Now that you hv asked for a break, you deserve this rest.

To you a guy many like and like to remember, please keep well and keep yourself in shape, in good spirits and good health.

  3. Dear Yew Kwong

Thank you for all your effort in managing the website. Always there to help me when I needed you.

May you always be healthy & happy.

I wish you all the best in whatever you do.

    Take care

    Lots of Hugs

  4. First it was KY. Now YK. Certainly many big happenings in May 2011. Thank you and best regards. Do the things you have always wanted to do and enjoy.

  5. Hi Yew Kwong,

Quite surprised at your decision to stop your IT work. Still have to respect your decision. But I know all of us are grateful for all your assistance in SHC’c IT development. I can still remember the many compliments you received from holding all the earlier IT classes.

But it is good to know you are still involved with the club, especialy in cycling. I look forward to cycling with you, (actually in keeping up with you). I know your interest, your dedication and your responsibility when you organise a cycling event, usually waiting for the last cyclist.

Hope we can meet for a meal when we are back next week.

Cheers, au revoir and not bye bye

  8. I am quite happy cos i learn a new word today. Emeritus.

So, our likeable Yew Kwong can be the Emeritus ITAM.

From afar i think I see him frantically waving his umbrella held in 1 hand and his racing bike in the other as if to tell me “No, no, no…….I dont need that, it’s unnecessary”.

Yes, YK, you do stand taller than the tallest and as confident of your worth as the oldest also feels of himself.

  9. Dear YK

Thank you v much for the assistance you’ve given me when I first joined SHC and couldn’t log in, and the help you’ve rendered to me whenever I encounter problems with the website.

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.

    Cheersssssssssssss
    Gabriella

  10. Thank YK,

You’ve been a gem to SHC. I’m sure you’ll continue to support SHC in whatever way you can even tho’ you’ve opted out on the web admin mgr position. Nevertheless, thank you once again for doing a great job. Best regards, Lisa O
