  1. Hi everyone,
I truly enjoyed Jan 13 outing and glad to see the club is getting more members. M looking forward the coming D&D in March’07. However, I think that $25/pax is abit hard to find a place for this activities. Perhaps, we can considered paying abit more to make this first D&D a success. What says you???

  2. Yes lah, everyone, our free & easy way of doings things seems to work well lah.

The variety of good food, good drinks and good cheer from everyone was infectious, that somehow even heaven can’t help, but to smile and join in to make the Potluck an ideal atmospheric event. Almost thought i was in Hawaii , Waikiki beach. Maybe with all the pots brought along, ‘Luck’ also came along together, lah.

Remember the next time we do this, to bring some fire torches (like those used in Hawaii), not only to warm the food and also to share our light and warmth with all.

That brings up another thought, sharing Lisa’s passion too, that someday, somewhere ,we can operate a free & easy Cafe style , of the early 70’s . ( of course the food cannot be free lah but cheap to cover cost and expenses lah). They are many good cooks, desserts specialist, etc, among us and exotic stuff too, Salad, Sandwiches, dry Mee Siam, Curries, all sorts, Devil’s and Angel’s inclusive lah.

Maybe operate a mobile van of some kind , go around and load up whatever any member wants to cook or try out and then station at such spots along East Coast.

Members can form groups to take turns to operate the mobile canteen, to learn and have experience for all. Learn what it is like to cook for the public, try new cakes or desserts or a drink like Ken’s famous Tiramisu that nobody ever tasted, but from his custard pie and cordial must be something. Others can also learn something about being an operator of a canteen and others can just do it for fun, just as a weekend fun job ?

Whatever it is, it must be done, free and easy , not as a full time job or something you will be stuck with , that is the catch or trick to it.

Cheers to SHC, let us keep being free & easy and be happy.
